I think Kentucky is very comparable to Pitt. Solid QB and RB but not such a great O-line. If we play aggressively and go after Levis he won’t be comfortable enough to pick us apart. I think their defense is solid, but they haven’t played very many good teams! We just gotta play OUR game and we will win by 10+ points at least.

Kentucky hasn’t beaten a Tennessee team that finished with at least a .500 record since 1984. All three UK wins since 2011 were against Vol teams that had losing records. Kentucky has never won at Florida and at Tennessee in the same season.

IMHO, they can't recruit elite WR's because of their system. "Find grass and turn around" isn't exactly a great NFL resume. So because of that they don't scare opponents over the top.... which in the SEC means the D can clutter up the short routes too.

UK O has given up 46 TFL for -235 yards; they have given up 26 sacks for -128 yards; they have fumbled 10 losing 6 for -15 yards, they have given up 6 picks for -85 yards. UK OL is a sieve. This game is not about what UK's stout D does or doesn't do, it is about what the Vol D WILL DO to the UK O. UK O will put the ball on the ground; WL will be hurried, he will be picked, and he will be sacked.

Can't win if you can't score. Vols will score, maybe not 52 but they will score, UK not so much.

I could understand why this stat why David Pollock has the Volunteers on upset alert.
The Wildcats have a realistic chance to keep the game close if they win the turnover battle.

The game will be undramatic if the Wildcats can’t contain the big plays, and can’t get pressure on Hooker.

Kentucky will get zero pressure on Tennessee because of Tennessee's great OL this season and Kentucky's secondary will be torched big time by Tennessee's offense.

I agree however I am a realistic Volunteers fan so that is why I say I have a slight fear of the Volunteers losing to a good Wildcats team.

I would say this is an average Kentucky team that is good enough to win 7-8 games because of a front loaded schedule like every season. You find the real Kentucky Wildcats in the 2nd half of the season. I think Kentucky will lose to Tennessee,Georgia and get upset by Louisville and wind up in the Music City Bowl with a 7-5 record.
