Cartervol, its not fashion, its changing traditions, every other SEC school has kept their plates the same, like "Gators" and "BAMA". It's sad to see that suddenly go. The stupid VOLS logo on the back looks like a toddler drew it.

My cousin fred drew them, and he is at 4th grade reading level. Oh, and he is 45.

It's become pointless. Uniform threads will pop up outside the uniform thread forever and always. It's hard to sway people when the life and death issue of athletic wear comes up.

Correct. They darkened the decals several years ago so they would more closely match how the jersey appeared on TV. With the newer jersey not being reflective, the color did not match up. It's being corrected.

Ok, that's good. I had not heard that anywhere. So, are they darkening the jersey or lightening the decals?

I assume watching a game with some of y'all would be the equivalent of watching it with a bunch of women the way some you grip about fashion all the time. SMH, Bout to be some man cards pulled around here

I dont care if they are wearing deerhides as long as they are winning. I personally prefer UTs traditional looks, and hope they keep it that way. Make that fat stripe at the top of the helmet skinny again and were good IMO.

A little bit of both. The jersey is being adjusted a little bit because certain lighting made it appear too light on TV. Looked fine at Neyland, looked yellowish in Nashville. Slight change. Decals will be adjusted slightly as well. Should look as close to perfect as it can get in the daylight. It (and every other school) is never going to match at night under the lights. And if you think other schools don't have this problem, you aren't looking very closely.

The two in the Oregon unis looks like that Snake game. How is this a two? And to some up this discussion I've never heard of so many men in one place caring about fashion and color coordination so strongly. Except san Francisco of course.

Regarding Uniform Changes - don't expect any changes unless the new AD gives the green light. During the ESPN chat Dooley stated this:

Coach Dooley, I am a UT Student and a die hard vols fan. I love everything about what you stand for and I know the program is going in the right direction. However, I would love to see you bring back the Black jerseys or orange pants at home this year. Any chance that happens?
