So whats up with the black jerseys this year - Anyone have any info on whether we'll see black or whether the team will wear orange or white pants for away games?

Will not have them. Even insisted that EA Sports remove them as an option from the NCAA 13 video game.

Orange pants on the road will still be the primary look, but you could still see white occasionally, as we did against Alabama last season.

Most likely. I would assume orange pants on the road for 4 of the 5 games.

I work at the UT Bookstore on campus and was talking to some of the Adidas reps today about some of the new stuff that is coming in this year. I saw an awesome under armour type shirt that said VFL on it, pretty sweet. Anyways, as I was talking to this guy we eventually got on the topic of football. I mentioned to him that I know a lot of people are unhappy with Adidas with both their clothing and on-field apparel. He went on to say that those people will probably get their wish soon. He said in 3 years the Adidas contract with UT expires and he has heard that Dave Hart really has been working hard to get UT to switch to Nike. He talked liked he knew it was going to happen. Just thought I'd pass along the info.

In all seriousness though, wouldn't it have negative repercussions for the school for Hart or someone to already be leaking/saying such? (while still under contract with one and "supposedly" having decided/speaking to the other?)

With the new Adidas tech-fit jersey we saw last year, I honestly don't know what else Nike could do better to improve or enhance our look while staying with tradition. I do agree that as far as for the clothing apparel, it would be a major upgrade. Also, I do believe switching to Nike would help out with bball as well. I know some don't think it makes much of a difference but for bball i believe it does.

I agree. I don't have a problem with what adidas is putting on the field right now. It really just comes down to the "fan" apparel. Nike would have way more of a variety.

I don't know if you noticed or not but several times last year we decided to wear the traditional mesh jersey's over the new tech-fit ones. The bama game last year was one where we did that. I don't know what the reason behind it was, just found it interesting.
