The only time I think it's appropriate for us to wear a black jersey would be at home when a game falls on Halloween! Thematically it makes sense and it's fun. Plus it only comes around every 6 years or so! Any other time, we are ORANGE AND WHITE!! If you don't like the colors, go root for another team.

I am amazed at the obsession people have with freaking uniforms! This is football, not fashion! Next thing you know, instead of running through the T in pre-game they're going to install cat walks and have each player come out one at a time while the PA announcer says "Today, Tyler Bray is sporting his new orange cleats with the black stripes to complement his white undershirt with the black and orange checkerboards." All the while Lady Ga Ga's "Baby I was Born this Way" plays in the background!

Why does a subject as silly as this get you people so mad? Do you really have so little control over yourselves that colors get you this upset?

I don't disagree. But my point was simply that if having a closet full of uniforms was the factor that drives enough recruits that it becomes a recruiting tool, Oregon wouldn't have to recruit, their cupboard would be stocked without having to leave Autzen.

And conversely, if wearing black "did it" for these same recruits then why would they even look at Bama, SoCal, LSU, UT, tOSU, PSU?

I don't know about black....but modern looking uni's can only help...not hurt....recruiting. All of those, you mentioned, except Molestation State U & Bamer have either worn heavily modified uni's for special occasions or small modifications since the Ice Age.

Funny...same people who get all butt-hurt about any possible changes are the same ones who buy certain guns cause they....look "purty" (assault rifles instead of just a standard one)

....or certain pickup trucks cause they look bad-a$$ (in their mind, anyway). Even though the extra $10-20k in cost + gas mileage keeps their wallet skinny.

My understanding and all side says, yes it is fake. At least for the team wearing it. Someone may have actually made it.

I don't know about everybody else, but Orange is the color I generally associate with Halloween...
