If we are going all out, why not just an all over print of the orange and white checkerboards and thats it. I little crazy but hey......

Yeah the all black trimmed in orange has been the choice of everyone I have spoke to and with the matte black helmet I believe it would help that TN swagger! :good!:

Where I do disagree is that hell yes, they will come for a uniform. If they will come because their buddy is here, they will come if you give them a years supply of red bull. These kids just want whatever strikes a chord...and flash does. Most of these guys could care less about tradition, history, or even education for that matter (see CP reference) they just want to play for a school that can show "swagger" (and uni's contributes to that) and possibly go pro...

Its all about immediate satisfaction and appearances these days.

As much as I hate to say it, we've been just as lame as anybody for a couple of years now.

PRECISELY!!! THESE YOUNG MEN TODAY CARE ABOUT PUBLICITY! Good or bad,as long as we`re on ESPN daily,we`ll attract recruits. WE WILL GO BACK TO TRADITION ONCE WE CAUSE A LITTLE EXCITEMENT.

I love my uniform and what it stands for, and as soon as I heard we were switching new uniforms in the army.. I was extremely giddy.

Good thing Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and some of the other successful programs have changed up their uniforms to keep on winning.

Well, they ARE WINNING, so they don't have to.

At this point something needs to create buzz for UT...and I aint talkin about CBJ's haircut.

I agree about packing Neyland for the spring game, that would send a supportive message to the coaches and the players that we are back on board. It would also be a signal to future recruits that Coach Jones has validity as a head coach in the SEC.

Wait didn't LSU change up their helmets and wear it with an all white alternatives uniform? Oh yea, and Ohio state did the same thing this year as well. As did Michigan, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Texas a&m, and so on. So much for successful programs not changing up their uniforms to keep winning (since it has so much to do with the outcome of the game anyways).

Good thing LSU and OSU have both done the pro-combat uniforms on at least one occasion. As did Bama when they had houndstooth numbers and collar on the crimson jersey.

Obviously not...

No one here is suggesting we wear them bc they will have some kind of magical effect that helps us win games. No one thinks they are like Bilbo's ring and going to make us invisible so no one can tackle us.
