thats where im at as well. i dont want our tradition changed.

I grew up with the tearaway jerseys. I have seen a few changes and they are not of concern. I really like the Black and Orange for the USCe game a 2-3of years ago. I know the kids like the newer uniforms and if helps them, it helps me. At 74, I sometimes like like something new. The very first U
jerseys were black but change to orange back n the 20s I think.

We should have textured green with orange/white strips. The green and white being the same color as the turf (take a page from Boise State). Might help in the bomb/interception category.

I'm hoping he means they were discussed separately. Grey uni? NO. Orange helmet? I'd at least like to see it attempted. I'm sure Hart has some say and will nix the grey uni idea. I'm sure they'll come up with an alternate uni that works. Course, this could be just a rumor...

I actually wouldn't mind a uniform change though. As long as the colors stay the same I think it's a great idea to maybe get some more people involved with the program. It really worked up there at Oregon, Mizzou etc.

Also, I think if you make a uni change, at least keep the helmet white/gray. No black.

I don't really post my opinion too much on uniforms. But here's my two cents.

Right now, a uniform change would be GREAT for our program. Think about it. We're at our lowest point in UT history. Said it last year and the year before, but now, it's truly rock bottom. Losing to Vandy and Kentucky over the past 2 years solidifies that.

We NEED something that is going to say to fans that this is not the same UT anymore. Now, I know, obviously, the play on the football field does that, as well it should.

But I am also saying that anything that Butch Jones can do to mark his era, and to further separate himself from Dooley is what he needs to do. The more he does anything that resembles Dooley, the more that fans will be expecting a Dooley-esque team.

Butch needs to put his own stamp on Tennessee football. He can do that while keeping UT UT. Kiffin did a good job of this, I must say. He did things his way, and he did it differently. He separated himself very quickly from Fulmer. And we ate it up, because differences breeds hope in these scenarios.

Kiffin turned south on us, and then we brought in Dooley. Dooley separated himself from Kiffin, and we bought it, because the difference bred hope.

Now Butch has to separate himself from Dooley. He has already done so in love of UT. He bleeds it. He has already done so in locking down the state of UT, or making a mission to do so. Dooley didn't care at all. He has already done so in work ethic. But I think anything he can do, be it uniform changes, or "fist-up D" or whatever, he needs to. The more he separates himself from Dooley, the more people are going to get behind him.

We want to see a different brand of UT football. I think a uniform change for one game can help that tremendously. I'm all for whatever gets our fanbase excited again, and whatever pumps our players up to beat the snot out of someone.

I am all for a change in the uniform....but grey is boring...I will be disappointed

They did a whiteout at a home game in Cincinnati. Most of the time they wear some combination of red and black (all black, all red, or both). For whatever reason, it looked really cool with the all-white.

It’d be interesting seeing the Vols wearing their Stormtrooper look in Neyland.

Stormtrooper look! I`ve been saying that all my life! I love the all white. Yall remember the 03 road unis with the orange stripe down the side of the jersey continuing in a wide stripe down the pants? Those were awesome. Jazz em up a little for us,Clevolander! Or can anyone post a pic of the 03 road unis? I truly believe 100% that we`ll wear badazz unis vs Oregon! And WIN! GO VOLS!

First Webbvol32, let me just sayi agree with you and Hopeful 100% as well. Kindly allow me to interject something. Guns is an American culture whether urban or NRA fanatics. To me it's not so much about owning a gun as the motivations people have for owning them. Except for hunters who hunt as opposed to spray and pray shooters.

OK, that out of the way, it would be really something to have Dyer and Crowell, really something. I think Rockytop would be rocking during games while the team is rocking our opponents with these weapons.
