Volinbham Talks Marketing and Bud Light

modelo

BUT my absolute favorite is free beer.
Modelo and Modelo Negro are both great as well. I will get those on tap eating Mexican. Although it used to be DosXX.

Peroni should first be enjoyed on tap at Carabba's. Not all beers are the same bottled, and I haven't tried Peroni off the shelf yet. Smithwick's off the shelf ruined my experience with it on tap at the bar.

The truly glorious take away here is they have examined the Tennessee fan base and clearly decided we don’t drink their product so not worth plying us with their horrible beer. That’s a good think.

And if I’m drinking light beer I’ll take Eight, Dallas Blonde, or Miller Lite if I have to go to a major label.
That cost you some respect points buddy.

You have terrible taste in beer like your taste in states.

As I was implying if I have to choose between Bud Light, Coors Light, or Miller Lite I go with Miller Lite.

When I was young and didn’t know better Miller High Life was my favorite. You can’t go wrong with the champ-pag-knee of beers amirite?

Bud Light STILL can’t get it right. They may be trying, but making it way too hard on themselves. How about an entire SEC branding and see how that revenue stacks up against the rest. Must be hard math for these people.

I remember getting these on the strip back in the day.

Moosehead is the best Canadian beer...well um..the only good Canadian beer.
True. There's a Canadian here in my town that does our security cameras and such at the bowling alley, and is also quite a bowler. He vows that the Canadian beers sent stateside are trash compared what is brewed for canadian sales.

His go to beers were Moosehead and Labat's Blue. He says the Labat's in the states doesn't compare to local distribution, and Moosehead was pretty good in the states but still better in Canada. He didn't speak fondly of Molsen Golden either way.

People say I'm crazy for adding a bit of salt to any Irish red, but it does help.
My MIL put salt on her Natty's.

People may think I'm crazy, but Killians Irish Red was and still is a really good beer.

You ever tried Eight or Dallas Blonde? And again the third is the last resort choice.
Worst experience I had in Texas in my two years at ACU in the 80's was Shiner beer. Tasted like peanuts on the backside. But, a keg was only like $16 then, so we'd get a keg and a decent 6 pack to start on till we lost taste, then tap the keg.

Apparently Shiner has tried to reinvent itself, as they charge micro brew prices now.

HUGE diff between High Life and Lite. I would never snub a High Life.

I’ve had eight Dallas blondes…oh, wait. You mean there’s a beer called that?? Truthfully, I’ve had neither, but would like to try the beer.

And you’re giving me crap about Miller Lite? 😂

I don’t think I’ve had a Natty Lite since college. And then I drank it because it was cheap.
I only ever had a Natty cause that's what we'd have to buy my MIL, and I thought I'd have a beer one evening. It did make my head snap a little to the left. That being said I'd still take a Natty/MB Light over a BL any time and prob some other budget beers as well.

I know there are some guys in here old enough to have had a Stroh's or Schlitz. Not promoting either. Best I can remember though, the guys that stole one of their dad's Schlitz's went into puberty early.

And let's not forget a respected salute to the Mickey's Wide mouth. I've seen some seriously eff'd up folks in my day after a few of those malts. Gotta say they weren't a regrettable drink, unless you drank too many.
