Orange slice goes good with Flat Tire
Nah...not a big amber guy, anyway. Especially Fat Tire (which I had way too many of for about a 3-year stretch and now never want it.
I do love Kilt Lifter. Not just my favorite amber, but probably a top 3 beer for me overall.
Interestingly, Budweiser bought Four Peaks and my understanding is it was specifically because they wanted Kilt Lifter, but they still haven't gone national with it. I think it's been like 6 years.
I'll fight the man I see put an orange slice in a Kilt Lifter ; )
Budweiser decline occurred slowly but inexorably. Focus and resources shifting from quality to advertising. Followed by cost cutting and lower quality ingredients to increase profit margin (yes, they started using rice as a grain), and finally selling out to InBev International conglomerate that had no attachment to or respect for their tradition and reputationI can stomach a regular bud, but it don't seem the same as it did in my youth. 40 years ago, and ice cold bud pony long neck was a good beer. We dropped alot of pony's cause they'd still be cold from start to finish.

I do fancy a good sam adams. The Boston Lager staple is my favorite and used to be my go to, then the Summer Ale. The Winter White is also good. However they do put out seasonals that not all measure up. The Cherry Wheat is a choker.I gotta say, my "go to" on hot summer day is a Coors Light.
For mainstream beers, my absolute favorite is Hoegaarden. Close second is Sam Adams Summer Ale. I'm picky after that.
The truly glorious take away here is they have examined the Tennessee fan base and clearly decided we don’t drink their product so not worth plying us with their horrible beer. That’s a good think.Bud Light STILL can’t get it right. They may be trying, but making it way too hard on themselves. How about an entire SEC branding and see how that revenue stacks up against the rest. Must be hard math for these people.
