Volinbham Talks Marketing and Bud Light

As I was implying if I have to choose between Bud Light, Coors Light, or Miller Lite I go with Miller Lite.

When I was young and didn’t know better Miller High Life was my favorite. You can’t go wrong with the champ-pag-knee of beers amirite?
LOL. The pronunciation that transcends geographic regions, and generations.

Worst experience I had in Texas in my two years at ACU in the 80's was Shiner beer. Tasted like peanuts on the backside. But, a keg was only like $16 then, so we'd get a keg and a decent 6 pack to start on till we lost taste, then tap the keg.

Apparently Shiner has tried to reinvent itself, as they charge micro brew prices now.
Shiner Bock has been my go to beer for decades and I still keep it around but just can’t drink too many anymore too heavy. Shiner premium is rat piss. Shiner Blonde isn’t horrible but I’d rather have Eight or Dallas Blonde. Eight is a Troy Aikman endorsed label. Not sure who produces it for his brand. Might be his own brewery not sure 🤷‍♂️

Budweiser has used rice since the 1800s, pretty sure it's in the original grain bill.
Oh no. Now my heart is broken even more. They broke the 1516 Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law) from the very beginning then 😳

If I can find it, I go with this old classic. Fresh Market is the only local place I can find it and that’s about a 30 minute drive 😢

Don't recall those variants. In the 80's it was only Shiner. Could have been that Shiner Premium you list cause it was horrible unless you already lost your senses, which is how we used it. Why spend good money on a good keg when most can't taste beer after 4 anyway.

I've seen some people get pretty trashed on a Foster's Oil Can. I've had very little and can't recall if it was any good. And I've not seen many get too far past the 1st one.

This thread definitely lets me know which tailgates to avoid. Some of y'all have terrible taste in beer.

You better have the Hefe glass for that...

There's a local liquor store that keeps that in stock. It's a good beer though I prefer the Kristalwiezens myself.

But I'm a sucker for a good hefe

Wouldn't mind trying a top label Bavarian/German brew. I have no ill will toawrd a Heineken at all, and I'd suppose they are even better locally in Holland.
The best beers I ever had in my life were the Weißbiers in Bavaria straight out of the tap. Preferably with a big ole Schnitzel and hot potato salad

I do indeed have my Hefe glass for just such occasions.😉

You wouldn't have to boycot mine if I had a tailgate going. It'd likely have some Landshark, and I'll fight anyone who disses it.

From south of the border styles...Other than Modelo and DosXX, I fancy a Pacifico and Sol. Corona is fine, but not the best they offer. Longboard is a good Hawaiian brew. Highland Gaelic Ale is a good Ashville brew. New Castle Brown from accross the pond got spit out and thrown out. Magnolia Southern Pecan from Mississippi was very nice.
