I agree with everything you said except “OSU isn’t really that good.” This is going to be a close game.If anyone thinks osu is going to blown out iu you need to think again. Iu has been preparing for this game for a long time because of their cake walk through the season. Plus osu isn’t really that good either imo.
Ok, Oregon got a bad call on the interception in the first quarter, ---take away 7 from OSUOSU wins by two touchdowns. Beat absolutely nobody. Ohio State should have beat Oregon.
That’s true if we were just talking about Indiana as a stand alone entity. However they are Big 10 and I believe the fix is in that the Big 10 is getting 4 teams in the playoff come hell or high water. Especially with the head of the committee being an ex Michigan guy. There is just too much smoke about what’s going to happen if the Big 10 and SEC don’t get treated right in the playoff selections. And those four are going to be OH St, Oregon, Penn St and Indiana.Exactly. Its TCU all over again. Indiana just doesn't have the SOS or brand to throw its weight around in this conversation.
Forgot to add Georgia Tech to beat Georgia as an opening but I’m not counting on that happening. That’s true if we were just talking about Indiana as a stand alone entity. Assuming ND wins out, they are in. The Big 12, ACC and the Group of Five will get one each so that’s 8 slots taken. Right now, six SEC teams are vying for 4 slots. Outside the conference, we have to root for ND to lose to open up a 5th slot for the SEC. Inside the conference and assuming we win out, we have to root for A&M and Ole Miss to lose and get knocked out. That would leave Bama, Georgia, Texas and us as the remaining four. Now maybe OSU beats Indiana by 30 and it’s just too embarrassing to keep them in but I just don’t believe the Big 10 is getting less than 4 bids no matter what happens. I’ll believe it when I see it.
Also Texas winning helps our SoS/SoR more than A&M. Texas has 7 common opponents with UT A&M has 2. Texas being stronger increases the SoS and SoR of everyone they played. And they are pretty much in the Playoffs/SECCG unless they lose in SECCG. Indiana will drop out of top 12 when they lose to OSU their SoS is embarrassingly low. in the top 25 only army at 133/134 has a weaker schedule which is why Tulane is likely to win the American conference over them though Tulane has 1 loss (both are undefeated in conference). Notre Dame and SMU are also very vulnerable with sos in the 80's and Boise Stats in the 70's.I disagree on this. We want Texas to beat A&M. Texas is solidly in regardless of a 2nd loss. A&M beating Texas not only gives them a quality win but will get to play in SEC title game which is low risk for them. If they lose they wont be penalized much at all for extra game and yet if they win it's 100% in which definitely steals a bid from the other at large contenders and we would be lowest.
