Correct, but that was after Butch came in and didn’t retain him. Dooley kept him. I just was curious why he didn’t follow Kiffin. If that was his choice or Kiffin’s?

I don't see Tee coming back. Not completely against it, but just don't see it.

He's not going to be the HC at UT. He might do good things down the road, elsewhere, but I think his ceiling at UT would be as a position coach, and I doubt if he would take that offer.

Time to put that baby to bed.

Another think to consider.. Chaney will have Osovet to work with along with Pruitts and Friends knowledge.. Who's to say they can't put some wrinkles in the offensive.. Old school along with new schemes... I bet we will see that...

He’s slightly above average IMO. Very up and down (look at his history). I don’t hate the hire, but I think it’s being blown out of proportion

Only way we can entice someone good to come here. We are in a major rebuild. He just left UGA with a NFL OL, NFL QB, and a great RB core. He also had a top five recruiting class coming in for 2019 and just had a top five class in 2018. Only way he was leaving was for money or being fired.

The more I read your posts. The more I know you just regurgitate without thought or research. Bama won 4 of their 5 NCs scoring 31, 33, 35, and 36 points per game. Everyone knows DEFENSES WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS! Clemson and Venables just showed it last night!!! Bama had NO ANSWER for the Clemson D and couldn't capitalize when they did get in the read zone three times. If Pruitt turns the UT D into what many think he is capable of as long as he has the players, Chaney can scheme an O to score mid 30's a game to win a ton of games and a NC!!!

I am thrilled with this hire. Chaney was my 1st choice. Didnt think we would get him though. He will probably stay as long as Pruitt wants him. Chaney and tyler Bray never got the respect they deserved. GBO

When it was just rumors, they had threads wondering what they could do to keep, definitely didn't want him gone.
After, of course, they "didn't want him anyway".
