I imagine after the first close game or loss they'll be back with a vengeance.

I suppose that's the main reason I haven't been around much. I have a pretty low threshold for arrogance and negativity, especially when the tone is so hateful.

It's a real shame too. For the most part, this board is packed full with courteous, respectful and knowledgeable posters.

OldVol, who anointed you lord protector of the VolNation Board? You haven't seen many negative comments about the game Saturday because almost everything was positive (Though we do need to improve our offense on third and one and fourth and one).

Last year there was ample reason to be negative and it lead to critical changes in the coaching staff, team dicipiline and team physical conditioning and it looks to be paying hugh dividends.

To label some of us Negavols is ridiculous. I was in the stands yelling my head off in Memphis in 1988 when we were 0-6, just as I was during Major's early years losing to the likes of Rutgers and Duke.

So back off and don't question the loyality of the posters that don't always agree with you!!

oldvol didn't "label" you a negavol nor did he question your loyalty. you put those labels on yourself. which leads me to wonder why you went after him so vigorously?

your reaction could lead others to wonder if you are ashamed of how you've acted over this past year? and instead of leaving well enough alone, you find it easier to attack what I would call a LOYAL VOL FAN (unlike some on this board). But hey, that's probably just me being ridiculous, right?

Attacking OldVol is like spitting on the flag. He's an institution here.

NegaVols have had a bad couple of days and they know it's only going to get worse.

Not for me. Apparently I have like 73 teams I pull for. I didn't even realize this until today when you pointed it out to me. This is great news, though. I'm bound to be happy every single week. I better head over to the Texas, Ohio State, Miami, FSU, and Notre Dame boards and make a few posts.

UT is playing great right now, dont cause division. We all should be happy right now about how the team is playing.

Agreed . . . We just went through 8 months of stuff like this. It serves no purpose to continually bring it up.

tidwell you disappoint me, but hey i reckon you got your reasons, but i dont understand how you can me a member of VOLNATION, which "should" be mad up of nothing but DIEHARD vol fans, and you get on here and you dont even pick your team to win, was it bc of well last year, cause before last year would you have doubted tennessee football i believe we are the winningest team in college football since the 1920 or something like that, no but your not a true fan our team had 1 bad year and then you go against a true fan stays by their side no matter what, but hey i guess not everyone loves the VOLS as much as i do I BLEED ORANGE DAMN IT

Right on O/S! I think the ones that stayed positive for the past 8 months enduring the nega-hell, should be able to Gloat a little bit!The tide has definitely turned!

I said it the other day, and I'll say it again.

I had to put up with Anti-Fulmer threads and posts all offseason.

You're damn right I'm gonna take a week to rub in a game like Cal.

Obviously, I'm not the only one taking the opportunity.

Squelching the NegaVols one of the 1,000 times all of us asked you all to would probalby have avoided this backlash. Even if I never post something to the NegaVols again, I imagine you are all going to have to deal with a few more people doing it, and I for one think it's great, because letting the NegaVols do what they did, created this backlash.

I think almost everyone on this site picked UT over Cal. Thus, rubbing this victory in the face of some "negavols" seems somewhat unjustified to me.

Heck boys, I've only been on this board for 8 DAYS, and I'm sick to death of the "Negavols"--a term I had not heard until last week. I can't imagine how you managed to deal with their babbling for 8 months. Gloat on boys, gloat on. And at the end of every disagreement---GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!

Tid- Don't sweat it.

TennVols423- Love the enthusiasm, but Tidwell is not negative toward the Vols at all. He made the comment that he feels he jynxs the Vols when he picks them, so he picked Cal. Tidwell is the furthest thing from somone that picked Cal because of last season. Welcome aboard, but don't attack the good guys! LOL

I will now pick the Vols for every game the rest of the year. Hopefully TennVols423 won't see the error of his ways in changing something I always do. :)
