I guess good guys start numerous threads with the sole intention of calling out other posters. They also decide they have a right to gloat about their perceived victories. Plus, they get to decide who true/real fans are.

Kinda like the Negas do with Fulmer and OUR beloved Vols?

Yeah, damn right thats what people are doing.

Ever heard the saying, you made your bed, now sleep in it?

Like I said, I could never post again, and it will keep happening until some people feel like they have exercised the demons that the NegaVols created.

I don't see anyone personally attacking any posters or even saying that anyone directly isn't a true fan. If a Fulmerite mentions what is a true fan to them, and a NegaVol decides that the Fulmerite was talking about him, then to me, that shows a guilty heart on the part of the NegaVol.

I could sit here and throw out several names, but I don't feel I need to, and I don't have the desire to break any board rules.

how long have you been doing this opp. pick thing

Since the 2001 SEC Championship game. Thatw as the LAST time I've went into a game thinking and saying, "That's right, the Vols have got this. National Championship, here they come."

Cautiously optimistic ever since then. Always think they've got a chance and think they can win every game... I just don't like going out on the limb and saying, "Oh yeah, Vols got this one."

Unless they're playing Air Force.

Do you honestly believe that 60 minutes of football is enough to make people eat crow? I don't think we can really say for sure where we are until after the Florida game.

Labelling people negaVols or Fulmerites according to their degree of support has gotten tired.

Give me a break. From now on, I will accept any reference to Fulmerites, Negavols, or true fans as some sort of justification of his/her argument as a sign of surrender. I would prefer to rationally argue about football or whatever other topic is brought up than simply try to classify posters into obligatory categories. I am secure enough in my fan status that I can criticize the Vols without worrying that my heart is straying or that I am not a "true fan." Questioning the loyalty of a Vol critic is like questioning the sexual orientation of a guy wearing a pink shirt.

Then I guess, if Tennessee wins the first 3+, it's gonna continue on for some of these guys.

I agree. If UT loses to FL or GA its probably another Citrus Bowl or Outback Bowl appearance.

I don't think that would be that bad. It would show that UT has not completely fallen off the map. It would definitely be a nice step in the right direction that we could hopefully build off in 2007.

Right, some of those guys in pink are normal, and some of them are......Not.

I'll take my chances calling a spade a spade, and if it quacks like a NegaVol and walks like a NegaVol, I'll decide in my head if I think they are infact, a NegaVol.

You can pretend that those terms mean whatever you want. It's your right. The fact is, they are funny and accurate in most all cases.

I think most would take 9 wins going into an Outback or Citrus Bowl appearance in a heartbeat.

A lot of things are funny . . . until they get repeated 800 times.

I have a hard time seeing Tennessee with more than 2 losses at this point, after the KY game.

LSU, UF and UGA are the only ones at this point that seem debatable to me, and I think WORSTCASE scenario is they win one of those.

Don't forget Bama. That game tends to be tough regardless of how much better one team may be than the other.

Well, like I said. The powers that be helped create the monster by allowing a thread with 1,863 replies bashing our head football coach to continue for 6 months.

I'm glad you all did it. I think everyone should have the right to voice (type) their opinions, but don't start complaining when the tide turns and some people want to get back at the NegaVols.

No way that I can look at that Bama team, and think that the team I saw Saturday night would have a lot of trouble with them.

Regardless, it is tiring to constantly hear that everyone is tired of hearing from the Negavols. Yet, here is a thread that is basically asking them to speak up. It just seems a little hypocritical.
