Vols remain #7 in AP

Well

I believe he’s 62 so I doubt he signs with IU for 3-4 years and then after leaves to do a rebuild. A lot points to the fact IMO he’ll stay at IU, but if he does leave it’s gotta be really soon like now or next year. Clock is ticking unless he’s planning to coach to 75 years of age lmao 🤣

And yes Bloomington is gorgeous. The campus is very cool with the old limestone buildings, the town is nice sized, it’s got a lot of hot chicks, great bars, it’s quaint but it’s quick to Indy that has more bigger stuff to do. And southern Indiana has some beautiful terrain. It ain’t the Smokey mountains but it ain’t all corn fields either.
Ohio and Indiana are similar in that way. Parts that are flat as a pancake and parts where you’d think you were in Monroe county, TN.

Anybody that watched Penn St offense knows they are so one dimensional it is truly ridiculous. They wouldn’t finish 500 in the SEC. Why they didn’t give it to number 44 at least once on the goaline blunders is beyond me. GBO
UT fans have no business criticizing one dimensional offenses 😂 😂 😂 our offense is one running back and the occasional tight end at this point.

#4 &#6 are jokes, they play in pathetic conferences. A 1 loss SEC team should easily be ranked higher.IMHO
Miami is undefeated in a big conference tho even if they suck they are owed respect until they lose.

Penn St isn't that good but OSU isn't much better but I have my doubts Tennessee could beat any of them without offensive execution.

Week 10 to week 11:
We added @69 points created a little more space between us and #8.
We closed the gap to #6 to 8 pts (down from @170 ).
That is based on a routine victory at home.
The offensive performance showed some life against the 6th best defense in the country. (Not saying that I agree, just indicating what the stats are arguing.)
The defense adjusted and showed why they are a top defense.

On to Miss State! GBO!

It's all because of our offense. Nobody believes in Tennessee because the offense is so bad

Comparison from Saturday - UGA had 457 total yards on offense, Vols had 478 total yards.

I think folks are comparing this Vol team with the 2022 Vol team and that needs to stop. Teams are different and find different ways to win.

Yet, somehow, Nico was 28/38 for 292 yards with three of those incompletions being dropped touchdown passes.
That just proves my point tho. Incomplete pass is incomplete pass. Our running game is where we excel. It's not a coincidence that Sampson just set a UT rushing record. If we had a good passing game that would not be the case.

Exactly, some folks do not pay attention to the actual stats of the game. They either are not fans or nothing less than 50 points will work for them.

Georgia has won Championships. Tennessee won't get that love until they win a Championship (Conference or National).

So a team has to be a passing team for you to consider them to be any good?

If we had beaten KY by a bigger margin like we should have we may have gotten more love. Still ranked ahead of Ind. who is undefeated.

I don't think they're comparing to 2022. I think they see that UT has failed to score 30 points yet in SEC play even tho we've played a bunch of totally beatable teams. Not to mention the HISTORIC lack of 1st half scoring that all the media keeps referring back to.

If you look now at the teams we have beaten the only one that's even close to impressive is the Bama win and even Bama could easily have 3 losses this year. If Tennessee can't beat Georgia then they will never overcome this negative stereotype of having no offense.

Lol it's not about what works for ME. It's about how the voters view our team lol.

Nobody says Nico didn't have a good game but it's undeniable out passing game sucks. Sometimes it's the QBs fault, sometimes it's the receivers fault and sometimes it's the OLs fault. Bottom line is it's a huge problem regardless of Nico having a lot of unproductive passing yards.

What does everyone think the top ten in the playoff rankings Tuesday will look like?
Going strictly by the AP Poll, the initial CFP would look like this:

#1 Oregon (B10)
#2 UGa (SEC)
#3 Miami (ACC)
#4 BYU (B12)
#5 Ohio St
#6 Texas
#7 Penn St
#8 Tennessee
#9 Indiana
#10 Notre Dame
#11 Bama
#12 Boise St (Mtn W)

B10 - 4 (Ore, OSU, PSU, Ind)
SEC - 4 (UGa, Tex, Vols, Bama)
ACC - 1 (Miami)
B12 - 1 (BYU)
Ind - 1 (ND)
G5 - 1 Boise St

In that scenario, the Vols would host Indiana in Neyland Stadium in round 1, then face Oregon in the Rose Bowl in round 2.

I could live with that.

But lotta things still going to move around before it goes final.

Go Vols!

OMFG please read the ****ing comments. All that I said was UT fans can't criticize Penn St for being one dimensional when UT is also very one dimensional. Get off my damn back!

I'm not criticizing our team I'm calling out the poor thought of others logic.

Tennessee is being viewed by those who make the decisions as having a very poor offense. It's not my opinion and I'm not tearing the team down it's just a fact. You can bring up total yards but total yards don't matter near as much as scoring points when you ought to.

It also doesn't help that the only team we beat that is impressive at all now is Bama.

Florida sucks, Oklahoma sucks, NC St sucks. These are NOT good looks for Tennessee and the reason why we are viewed with huge questions marks.

How Tennessee is being viewed by the polls is very understandable and only Tennessee can change that perception by stomping some teams. That's just the world we live in now.

I’ve visited both and idk man. OSU is a nice little city but it’s nothing but corn fields from all directions leading in and flat as a pancake.

Bloomington is at the base of the mountains and its rolling hills leading to the Appalachians. I think it’s a pretty area particularly in the fall.

A joke in Indiana is that “the south” starts south of Indy. They even have the start of a southern accent from Bloomington SOUTH.
