Vols Switching to Nike?

I love my Adidas gear

Never fell for the whole Nike love. Never really liked their shoes. So many better options

With Nike, you're paying for the name

Agree 100%, I'll take adidas over Nike anytime. Personally, I think adidas gear looks better and fits better than Nike but that's my opinion.

I couldn't care less the uniform doesn't make the player if we were 12-0 this year it would have had nothing to do with the Smokey Grey.

Not always about money..Sec schools do fine without that, so really it should be based on quality and Adidas fan gear is aweful and bad quality. Jmo

Adidas shoes fit me better than Nike, and last longer. The Nike Shoes that I have owned in the past have come apart. As for the clothing, the Adidas feel better and are keep me cooler. I really don't know why some folks prefer Nike, unless they just like the brand name better. Just my two cents.

Walk in to a gym where people are actually working out.

It's not 90% Nike. In fact, it's very little Nike. It's Fail or Flag or Asics or UA. I see a lot of Mizuna shoes too.

This thread is so American focused it's not even funny.

In countries where soccer (football) is king, Puma is huge.

Puma is not a secondary brand but they are not huge in America due to the types of sports they were geared to.

I own a lot of Puma. Shirts, shoes, etc.

I own two Nike shirts and one was given to me by a friend.

Man, didn't know there was such a thing as Nike fanboys until this thread.

No one gives a crap what Ghana thinks of uniform brands. This is American focused because this is America.

Ok so first off I wanna say I've become impressed with Adidas and the techfit unis. So I will be ok if we stay with them.

However, I prefer Nike. They are the most comfortable unis, recruits love nike! I'm not worried about crazy unis. Nike respects tradition, look at schools like Bama and Texas, UF, LSU, there are several nike schools that don't have crazy unis. I like Nikes fan apparel.

As for UA, I like UA. But not when it comes to football apparel. I like there gear and clothes. But to me UA unis look very thick and uncomfortable and hot. But recruits do like it.

Personally I say go Nike. I feel like it will be best for us. I understand we won't get as much money. But we are a national brand and nike will benefit greatly from signing us, it will help us in recruiting, I also believe overall fans will like their fan apparel better.

Ehh. I like Adidas and I think we should stick with them. If we did have to choose between Nike and X. I would definitely pick Nike. Underarmor puts out some uglyyyyyy stuff.

This BS again? If Tennessee was going to switch to Nike, it would have happened by now.

Hahaha! Soccer???

From what I can count, which isn't very high on Friday's, all but 2 BCS NC's have worn Nike products. Only 2 that haven't are Tennessee and Auburn. I know apparel doesn't help you win, but Nike obviously associates themselves with successful programs. Seems like it would be a great compliment to be associated with them, and would help recruiting a tiny bit. People underestimate the thought process of 17 year old athletes.

82 Division 1 schools use Nike. 28 use something else. Law of averages will tell you that the majority of BCS winners will have used Nike. No one is winning BECAUSE of Nike.

They must be doing something right, or colleges understand that Nike is the predominant apparel choice of kids, and has been for years. Yet again, a good reason to get out from under Adidas. Kid love Nike, period.

Shoes- Nike
Clothing and gear- UA

Nothing at all- Adidas

Never cared for Adidas. I hate the small numbers on our jerseys.
