Saying that like it’s fact over and over doesn’t make it any more true,As questionable as our D has been, it won’t reach the levels LSUs was this year. Historically bad. 10-2 is the floor IF Nico stays healthy.
Question. Did you honestly think Daniels would be as good as he was this year? Did you really expect any SEC to come close to Burrow type of numbers again? No you didn’t. Point is you don’t know that Nico won’t set records next year. You are making nothing more than assumptions. You cannot possibly expect Nico to be as good next year as Jayden was this year which is what it would take for 10-2 being “the floor” to not be an absurd take. Again, football is not a single position. Our WR room was incredibly underwhelming this year. We’re going to be breaking in a lot of new contributors. You just expect those guys to put up Jaylin Hyatt numbers the moment they get a chance?
My thing is
I get that they believe in Ethan Davis and all but...Joly is proven and legit.
Staes is a stud too, but Joly is a matchup nightmare. Similar to Bru really. I understand they need a blocking TE above all else, but I don't see why they can't promise to rotate three TE's.
If you’re talking strictly younger guys, then I can agree, but if you’re talking portal guys, then I disagree.Didn't predict. Speculated.
Breaking in new QB but if they can convince a ton of seniors back, would help a ton to match 8.
The more new bodies they have to play, the less likely they are more successful. Jmo

Michigan has 10, Washington has 11, FSU has 19, and LSU has 13 in the two deep. Portal guys.
It’s not about young vs old, it’s about finding what’s right vs what’s not.
That’s why we need to go after the Vandy nerd, Sheppard. I’m sure he can learn this offense lickity split.I can buy that. But system complexity is at play across various programs also. WR spot for example is a tough learn under Heupel. Not saying it can't be done but it is something that can hold one back for a while, Thornton as an example.
Do you think that hurts us on these transfers? I think it does because most of these guys are looking for one good year then off to the NFL and it is a risk if they don’t pick up on the system.I can buy that. I agree I would love for us to land one of the WR’s out of the portal but if not we will only be giving experience to our young guys for a run at a championship in 25.I added to my post. But point being eventually you’ve got to turn to your young guys. Some were even highly rated.
Thornton was top 60 overall player. Leacock top 75.
Matthews is a baller.
Squirrel is legit.
