Question. Did you honestly think Daniels would be as good as he was this year? Did you really expect any SEC to come close to Burrow type of numbers again? No you didn’t. Point is you don’t know that Nico won’t set records next year. You are making nothing more than assumptions.

Because we don’t sub on offense. We are hurry up and go so the defense can’t sub.
If you have a TE that can’t block your offense is limited. There will be an entire half of the playbook you can’t call when he’s on the field.

If you’re talking strictly younger guys, then I can agree, but if you’re talking portal guys, then I disagree.

Michigan has 10, Washington has 11, FSU has 19, and LSU has 13 in the two deep. Portal guys.

It’s not about young vs old, it’s about finding what’s right vs what’s not.

There are no floors with this program. Questioning the existence of ceilings in this new SEC tho. Pretty sure we might be bumping into one going forward.

I can buy that. But system complexity is at play across various programs also. WR spot for example is a tough learn under Heupel. Not saying it can't be done but it is something that can hold one back for a while, Thornton as an example.

That’s why we need to go after the Vandy nerd, Sheppard. I’m sure he can learn this offense lickity split.

Putting jokes aside, you aren’t wrong. It’s just kinda frustrating. Speaking of, do you know if we are going after a WR in the portal or if we want one?

Do you think that hurts us on these transfers? I think it does because most of these guys are looking for one good year then off to the NFL and it is a risk if they don’t pick up on the system.

I also think it has to hurt us with a few of these big time WR’s and our unproven QB situation and real lack of depth at the QB position. If a big time receiver were to come in and Nico doesn‘t produce he risks hurting his draft stock.

Before I get attacked by some I am not saying Nico will not perform all I am saying is he is unproven at this point.

I agree I would love for us to land one of the WR’s out of the portal but if not we will only be giving experience to our young guys for a run at a championship in 25.

Get Diggs to replace Baron. Upgrade.

I won’t be mad if we got Nolen but I won’t lose sleep over it if we don’t. Think there’s character issues with him tbh.

Need some studs in the secondary for sure.

I think Defense is our biggest need and you go after that in the portal. After that you go get a TE and maybe an OL.

I think we can play our younger WRs so I wouldn’t focus on WR in the TP. If a stud falls in our lap then cool but I wouldn’t make it a top priority.
