On McMurray:

-AP
Unless I'm misreading things, both appear to have multiple years left. Harris was a much more decorated HS prospect. Wonder what it is that they see in McMurray that has them focused on him? Maybe Harris has some issues that are red flags for this staff? Can't find much in the way of highlights for McMurray. I'm obviously missing something in the comparison of these two players.

Your possibly missing the two years of starting tape that the coaches have looked at in evaluating Mcmurray.

I can’t say I’ve seen McMurray play, but he was on the second team all-freshman team last year, which is similar to McCoy this year. Our resident recruiting insider said he was given a single digit number last year, which apparently is significant at Temple. It’s for leaders and voted by the players. He was the first freshman in nine years to get one.

McMurray is a very disciplined player with strong tackling skills and good coverage in man and zone. He knows Banks from his PSU recruiting. He told coaches it’s his dream to play in the SEC and he loves Banks. I’d rate the odds as very high that he’ll land here.
if he is good enough, can help us win a (gulp) championship. then come awn.

Here's a reason to be excited. Granted it was against lower level competition but Brazzell graded out well above any of our WR's from last season

Wouldn't Bru McCoy be our best receiver? I know a lot of people on here have been hating on Donte Thornton, but I think Milton just throws a ball that's extremely hard to catch.

Bru is a great blocker and a physical/possession type receiver. Would be nice to have him back, but we need a deep threat. As to the type of ball Milton throws, Nico had some drops vs Iowa so I think it's more likely that it's a hands issue with our receivers moreso than a QB issue. They might develop, but can we aren't going to have Nico for 4 years. Can't afford to wait around hoping. They need to upgrade for next season and not just WRs. If guys like Webb and Nimrod stick around and do blossom, that's great, but they need another playmaker to go with Brazzell.

Brazzell and Thornton are deep threats.

Squirrel can also be a deep threat when he has guys on the outside that command attention.

I think Bru wasn’t included here due to his snap count. Not sure where they set the snap count to be rated, but I think that’s the issue

Yep.

Regarding Thornton, he was starting to come around as an outside WR. The raw ability is there. He needs to put in the work this off-season and do what Hyatt did between 21 and 22.

I'm not arguing that, I was just talking about the PFF grades.
