Vols vs Tigers game thread - 3:30 ET CBS

tyler maybe...who else??

Chism. He's already tested the waters and you can only do that ONCE and still be able to come back to college. Meaning - since he did it last year - he was looking to come out this year... and he's playing well enough lately to justify coming out. More than likely he's gone if he keeps it up.

I'm so bummed. I promised the kids I would take them out to eat tonight. There were be a lot of Memphis fans where we are going. I will still be wearing my orange. I'm sure they will all be very gracious winners. Tiger fans are known for their class, right?

If by class, you mean ability to cook me ribs, then yes.

off topic...anyone see were brandon jennings said that not going to college and going to europe was not a good idea...said he has only been paid once and some nights he doesnt even play..complained that they treat him like a kid and that going over there can break you

This team is physically more talented than the last 2 teamó we had. The last 2 teams we had would run this team by 20.

did not know that..thanks..:dance::good!:

Whatever. 15 yrs of coaching helps. I guess u also ignore height for matchups as why having players in game as well as ignore the key block and charge taken in key last 3 min of game. With ur logic every time a player screws up u bench him. The game is 40 minutes and u don't bench generally for a mistake like the 3 foul. Guarantee u jp knew he screwed up. Jp gave us best chance vs that team at his position. You have me arguing because it is clear ur bball iq is about a 4. I'm not even a jp fan but u sir couldn't coach ur way out of a tissue wrap and make urself feel better 2nd guessing

no, by my logic, anyone with an obvious "me first" attitude gets benched when they start playing like an idiot.

You guys played a good game and had a strong chance at the end. The refs missed a few calls, but it looked like it went both ways. I am sorry someone had to lose, but I do think it was your turn.:) Good luck the rest of the season, and I hope you don't lose again until we meet in the Big Dance.

again, a glimmer of hope amongst the darkness: we played, for the most part, very good halfcourt defense today. Granted, no one's going to confuse Memphis with North Carolina offensively, but still, I was impressed. We lost because the shooting, in general, was awful. And Tatum had the worst game of his career thus far. Maze and Hopson weren't much better. We're not going to beat quality opposition if Tyler and Wayne have to shoulder the entire load - somebody else has to step up.

Ha. Both these teams meeting in the tourney is a big IF this year. But I do like your optimism though

Anyone see the Memphis player's waving to the Tennessee fan's & blowing kisses to the crowd as they were walking off the court. No class whatsoever! I hated Memphis before this game i hate them even more now.

Chris Lofton, JaJuan Smith, Jordan Howell played defense...

This team does not. This team will be lucky to get in the NIT...

Howell might have played defense, but that didn't make him any good at it.

Lucky to get in the NIT? Seriously?

yeah I don't understand why Pearl cant get this team to work harder and play better. With better talent in his system you expect more success.
