I'm still new to college bball and the NBA and all the draft, rules, desicions, etc. I don't know or understand it nearly as well as I do college football and the NFL.
Also, I havent seen or really followed any UT bball games up in St. Louis and havent been able to catch anything more than final scores and records this year.
So, as pretty much the new guy to how all this works, yeah I'm asking a question like that
Eh, I dunno. Other than Kentucky, I don't know of another team that I'd be worried about. What bothers me though is the fact that this team seems to quit once they're smacked in the mouth.
And we're going to get everyone's best shot, and I'm not sure they are mentally tough enough to handle it...even in the weak SEC.

You guys need to give yourself more credit. First off, your defense is better than you think. Memphis has scored around 81 point per game, and you held them to 54. Second, Memphis has held opponents with good defense to low scores all season so it wasn't that you have a terrible offense. It was a tough physical game that you almost won. You also need to ignore the CBS announcers. Those guys were just parroting what they were told before the game. Your transition play is deadly, but Memphis is very good at transition defense. It was just a case of strong against strong point.

Got ya! There is no way an NBA team will even think about taking Hopson after this year! He will be here for at least 2 more years before he is even a draft pick!
True.On paper I agree...
But this team doesn't cease to amaze me.
I'm just saying from watching this team all year...nothing is a given.

Hopson had hoped to enter the professional ranks after one season at Tennessee. Half way through his first season, the overwhelming message from anyone who has watched him play is that he is not ready. He will be a college player for at least another year, and he needs some major development of his game to ever be able to make the leap to the NBA.
Ok, thanks. I hadnt seen any numbers for him....espn really only brings up tyler or chisms numbers with the score.
So looks like we have him for another few years then. If he gets better, that's great! if not, well then that was a pretty big waste of a scholly...
I hope it's the former
Scotty's numbers are good but not NBA-ready good, and they are also inconsistent. He has tremendous ability but does not yet have a college physique. His attitude and intensity level have also been questionable.
For stats, ESPN is your friend, even though they hate us.

True.
Like others have said, if it gets to the point where they're losing to teams like Georgia, South Carolina, or just about anyone in the West, then I'll really start to wonder. Not that I'm not already, but you know.
Ah hell, I'm just glad they don't have to face Evans again. Meeks won't be a picnic either of course, but I think if they play at least as well as they did against South Carolina and Vanderbilt they should be alright against the majority of the conference. We shall see...
I definitely don't feel comfortable going against pretty much anyone right now...
