Add women’s basketball undefeated with new coach - not there, but get the feeling the Lady Vols will be back in the elite mix soon.2024: #1 National Championship winning baseball team, #1 ranked basketball team, #6 ranked (hopefully higher after this weekend) football team. Has any other D1 school had this type of success in a single year?
Didn’t Florida win basketball and football championships the same year? No clue about baseball I don’t even know if they have a baseball team2024: #1 National Championship winning baseball team, #1 ranked basketball team, #6 ranked (hopefully higher after this weekend) football team. Bart Torvik has TN favored by 1 pt. 72-71At Illinois won’t be automatic.
Given the difficulty of the SEC this year I think it worked out well not to have a crazy tough OOC schedule. We will have plenty of quad 1 opportunities in conf.Someone called this team workmanlike and that fits the bill. They just show up and do their thing.
We haven't played an elite team yet (Baylor was good but were off). However, we have dominated good competition. This team has looked like they could be the best team Barnes has had to date but we will need to wait and see. It doesn't matter where we are at now, it matters in late March (and if we can make it to April).

At the moment Pomeroy puts our strength of schedule at 188. That’s due to rise with games against Miami and Illinois, of course. I don’t think anyone can argue we were dodging a challenge with away games at Louisville and Illinois, the Bahamas tournament, and the ACC Challenge, but the poor state of the ACC has made those teams worse than we were expecting. Half of our opponents won national titles since I started watching in the 90s.Our OOC isn't necessarily easy, it just doesn't have a Duke, Houston, or Iowa State type team. Baylor was a very good win and I think the win at Louisville is going to pay dividends for us.
