A bit of both

Florida’s resume so far isn’t extremely impressive. @Florida State is probably their best win, and they aren’t even ranked (none of their opponents have been)

Even with two losses, Duke has had a tougher schedule, further boosted by a huge win over Auburn this past week, plus just being so far ahead in pre season metrics and what not (where a bit of bias would come in to play)

Kentucky has a better argument. They've beaten Duke, have two wins as impressive as Duke's two best wins, one less loss, yet sit one spot below the Blue Devils

Idk… I think they could’ve been much better. I loved watching them because they were incredible and because I played against most of them at one time or another. But Hutch you and me could’ve coached them to 20+ wins. They were absolutely loaded! Wharton, Harris, Black, Vincent, Walker, Slay, Victor, and others!
Coach Green didn’t push enough imho and has apparently vanished after this on a side note.

I agree but I think that was lost in the Counzo/Tyndall years. At least I don’t remember them being involved much. Zo was pretty stoic and DT was a whole other thing

And no joke, I kinda had forgotten about Tyndall until remembering the jump from Martin to Barnes and I remembered "oh yeah, that guy".

Buzz probably did underachieve a few years but the talent wasn’t quite right for what he wanted imho.
Martin definitely had the players but not ether best system for those guys.
Tyndall may have gotten the most out of what he had honestly. Scratched together a roster over days practically. Wasn’t a fan but I thought that was impressive.

His logic is flawed IMO as it appears he wants to use metrics to determine the basketball rankings because of the strength of schedule. The metrics are also influenced by the strength of your opponents. Early season rankings in all sports are just for entertainment and things tend to shake out over the course of the season so he wrote a lot of words about nothing really.
