Vols Will Be Ranked #1 in the Nation Come Monday

Our OOC isn't necessarily easy, it just doesn't have a Duke, Houston, or Iowa State type team. Baylor was a very good win and I think the win at Louisville is going to pay dividends for us.
Agree to an extent. Think if before the season it’s a borderline dancing team I’d rather have the better SoS. But a team that “should” dance, I’m more than okay with an easier path to conference play. The cherry on top of both scenarios are the SEC is not a joke anymore.

I was looking at ticket prices, thinking of going since its 90 miles from me - real high priced now

Leaderboard or Literboard(for those familiar with the establishments on the strip)?
Maybe top of the literboard if Vol football doesn't get a home playoff game. (You realize how many times autocorrect had me typing literboard?)

I’m really grateful for what Barnes has done for Tennessee basketball.

I remember my heartbreak in 2019. It hurt because we didn’t make it out of the S16 and I remember thinking that was probably the best Tennessee basketball team I would see in my lifetime.

Baseball team National Champs, football team going to the playoffs (exclusive 12 team playoffs, not the "half the programs are in" playoffs like NHL), and the Mens Basketball team ranked number one - die now, it couldn't get better :)

Absolutely. My comment was not intended to mean otherwise, just that Illinois is the biggest test yet. Geez.
That's what means, "if the Vols are able to pull it off, they might have a special season". It's a huge game, no doubt, but the outcome won't determine the Vols' season with a W or L. No doubt on that too

Miami is ranked lower than Vanderbilt currently on kenpom. My biggest concern is over the last 2-3 years these Madison square garden games have produced vols worst offensive performances of the season.
This is so true. Pre-season Miami was looking much tougher than now Miami, but I was at the NCAA tournament game in MSG in 2023 where we lost. It was a huge stinker and that place, for whatever reason, is not our friend.

It wasn’t that long ago that I was wondering if Tennessee would ever be relevant in any men’s sport. How times have changed. I’m not taking any of this for granted.
Some might think I’m exaggerating here, but Tony V is one of the big reasons. His preaching about loyalty and showing up to all of the other sports and having fun with the other coaching staffs has caused a snowball effect. He’s been hilarious on the sidelines during football season.

Miami isn’t nearly as bad as their record if you put much into KenPom.

He has them as one of the unluckiest teams in the country right now.
