I thought we had the best shot with Dixon, but now that isn't looking too good. Would be nice to get any of the 3 at this point

Coach Garza isn't our only coach with Texas responsibilities. Big O has been there as well. I'm just sayin...

With Rex's prediction and Meyer leaving Florida we should get back in on Brown and Elam as well.... would be HUGE

Rex has just went all in! You know if this happens you will be the kind of VolNation recruiting hands down and if it doesn't this will haunt you. I hope we can atleast land 1/3...

Ive ALWAYS been for the SEC is all non conference games, and bowl games, but I hope Texas blasts sabans cheaters, and Ingram drops and breaks his Heisman
It's a double-edged sword, for sure. You can find detrimental aspects any way you choose...but I think I have to side with the SEC team, even if it's a much hated rival. If the SEC thrives and keeps bringing home the big trophy every year...that's more revenue and prestige for every program in the conference. It's our responsibility therefore to displace them and put ourselves in their position instead. Sure it helps their recruiting, but it also indirectly helps ours as well.

It gives our program more money to spend on facilities and better coaches, and it attracts prospects to our conference, which improves our odds at cherry picking some of them. What's more, it helps us look more legit when we were the ONLY team that legitimately beat them on the field this year (just fell short on the scoreboard...due to us having a wus for a kicker).

i have changed my stance on cheering for other sec teams this season. kiffin has changed my football mentality to such a degree that i will no longer pull for any other team in any game. i now watch games and hope that both teams play terrible. one team obviously has to win but i would be happy if both could somehow lose. after listening to him attack most of the teams in the sec over the course of the season, i have decided to never cheer for any team in our conference. other sec schools winning does not help us land the players we want. the vols winning is the only thing that matters.
