Family friend of mine was on staff with Cutcliffe recently and although they do not actively pursue these elite prospects, they keep up with their recruitment. Lache really loved Tennessee and his visit to Knoxville, but negative recruiting about Kiffin and him looking at the depth chart pushed Tennessee out of the picture. Dixon was very excited after his OV. Close to committing. Family friend told he is ecstatic after every visit and that Dixon will sign with one of three teams. Tennessee was not one of them. Nelson is our best shot but his visit will have to be great. He is still solid to A&M though.

Who were Dixon's three teams? Auburn Texas and Baylor im guessing?

So a family friend tells you all these things. A coach that was on staff with Duke and now out in California knows more then our coaches or the coaches of the teams the recruits are considering. Calling BS...I hope you guys are not taking this Vols dat team serious. Hey maybe he is right but that just means he guessed right or his family friend guessed right.

You don't think MacInyre knows whats going on with the recruit in the state next to him? Mike is very involved in recruiting and although he doesn't pursue the ones we do, he knows a lot about who leads for those kids and such.

Uhh no one said the things you said...just said BS...thanks for admitting you had only one source who would know little to nothing so maybe this place does not take you too seriously.

And use IMO and don't say book it and the like when you are stating something that is clearly not fact and maybe someone will not call you out.

hey guys. im not trying to start a conspiricy or anything, but you think that some sec schools are joining volnation to spread bs to try to derail our motivation and excitement. i mean we all know recruits watch what is being said on message boards so it would be in the interest of other schools to try to spread stuff about kiffin and how recruits are changing thier minds. before you poo poo this statement i would think about it for a second. maybe we need to return the favor. we have a vol navy and a vol nation.....maybe we need to create a vol CIA...muhaha

Did MacIntyre know that UT was going to sign Bryce Brown last year? If so, then why did you wait until today to join the board and make 90 posts?

Your info may be solid, but I have to question a 21 year old who does not have a track record.

he got his info from scout.....which isn't a bad place to get it from though.... I hate just having only one source say things are getting good with x propsects. I would love one of them in another interview soon to mention and say some good things about tennessee...

Guys, none of us have "sources". We are all just here giving our two cents worth. Lets enjoy it for what it is and everybody contribute what they have found out. We dont need to bash each other for trying to inform.

Although I aree with we don't need to bash each other, the rest is an epic fail...... There are people on this board that definitely have sources. Some are only connected to one, or a few kids, others have multiple, but there are sources.

Here is what I've heard from someone who works in the recruiting office, you can choose to believe me or not, I'm just passing the info along:

Lache Seastrunk-Tennessee coaches feel "cautiously optimistic" about their chances with him. As was stated earlier in this thread he loved his visit to campus. My source doesn't believe Tennessee will land him, but he believes Tennessee has a better chance than "recruiting experts" across the country think they do. His major concern is depth chart. Tennessee is trying to sell him on becoming "the next Reggie Bush" with Bryce Brown as a "Super Lendale White".

Ahmad Dixon-Coaches thought he was going to be a Vol for most of the fall. He fell in love with Tennessee during his visit. The key would've been a return visit with the understanding that he would commit. However the return visit never happened and the coaches, while still pursuing him, are looking elsewhere for help in the secondary. He believes that Dixon will end up in Tuscaloosa.
