Vols win out. Dooley stays

Hey Team,

Vols win 35-20. We beat Vandy by 7. We take UK to the woodshed and mushroom tat them in the face. And mess up Miami in the Music City Bowl.

It's going to be one of the History Channel Men Who Built Volnation stories.

As much criticism as Dooley gets for the D, look at the O. He has built a top 5 offense and a top 5 coaching staff.

But adversity has struck the team on D. No great man ever had it easy. It's in these times that Legends are born. UT seems to be a family that never gets down on themselves. A family that has the confidence and talent to put up points and make the stops on D.

Sal will go at the end of the year. But Dooley will stay. So will Bray and CP. The D will return all of it's starters (other than a criminally slow Herman Lathers). The vols will be back.

Nay sayers climb on if you want some... You got 2 days left. Then the wheels go in motion... And by January 1st you as well will be behind Dooley for 1 more year.

Hey Hey UT you look so good to me.

You owe me a new monitor.

internet intimacy?

here is the language you will not hear from me on this board.

there will be no new age lingo spoken here. no support group jargon from the human potential movement. for instance, i will not share anything with you. i will not relate to you and you will not identify with me. i will give you no input and i will expect no feedback. this will not be a learning experience, nor will it be a growth period. there will be no sharing, no caring, no birthing, no bonding, no parenting, no nurturing. we will not establish a relationship. we will not have any meaningful dialogue and we definitely will not spend any quality time.

What are you trying to do? Be the spoon that stirs the pot? Time to get off and help count the votes in Florida.:)

I agree if Tennessee wins out Dooley will stay for at least another year whether VN fans like it or not. They will beat Missouri this weekend their defense isn't as good as on paper and they will beat Vandy and Kentucky. They hired the right coaches on defense and didn't really change the offensive philosophy and hired the wrong ones on defense and tried to change everything with a defense that wasn't horrible. I believe Dooley is retained and Sal is either let go or demoted and we hire a proven D coordinator. I'm a Vol fan I cheer for the team no matter who the coach is and I don't gripe about the current coach everyday of my life.

No apparently failure is the new in thing.. Fail all you want, we'll reward you with 4 year terms an 2 million a year to do a crap job at coaching football. Man this place is great, for those that fail anyway.. Just remember... We now have a program for everything and everyone gets a trophy

Amen to that. Won't be long until we're conquered.

If Dooley is brought back next year Dooley, Hart, Cheek and any trustee involved in bringing him back needs to be fired or resign.

Not so sure it's sal's fault on defense. Think there is a lack of talent there!! Play makers make plays!!! If tennesse had as good of defense as it does as offense then there record would be much improved and we would not be in a should he stay or go question!!

Thoughts people!!

Wilcox had the same bunch with less depth ranked in the top 30 overall.. The system doesn't fit the personnel...

Music City Bowl? Bet they deny that invite after what happened 2 years ago ... I was there ... one of the best games I've ever been to, except for the ending. It was one of my friend's first ever football game too. We sat in the section to the left of the band in the endzone. I'd be down to go again, unless those refs are there and we play UNC again ...

Seeing LP Field filled with orange though, that was one of the most beautiful sights you will ever see.

First let me say that I have been a DD fan/ apologist since he became our head coach. (Yes, there is a but..) But, the showing we had against Troy, really took me for a loop. I think it is time for a CHANGE, let's go FORWARD.

I certainally hope Dooley doesn't return even if we do indeed win out. We are currently rated #11 in the SEC in recruiting for 2013 and won't be able to compete with mid level SEC teams at this rate. It's a shame that UT has to do on the Job training with it's current HC. Following the Vols for almost 43 years and can't remember such a poorly coached squad. Listening to Sports Talk Radio in Atlanta today even they admitted that UT (and Auburn) are now the laughing stock of the SEC....particularly the Vols with only 4 SEC wins in the last 2 3/4 years...if Dooley stays, UT Football is Dead! I personally, am tired of the embarrassing play and Loosing....face it the Vols are on Life Support and very very few highly rated recruits are even considering UT. With such a horrible SEC winning percentage and with a coach listed as the most likely to be fired (and should be fired)....do you blame them?

I agree, Dooley's had enough time for everyone to see he's a poor coach as well as recruiter....the Vols deserve better...much better...He** the whole country can see what some of our fans can't...Dooley must Go

So you are saying the fans should be satisfied with 3 SEC wins and the Music City Bowl?
