Waaay to early 2012 prediction thread

Now that the SEC schedules are officially out lets start a thread where everyone goes game by game picking next years results and gives some feedback for their picks.

I will start.

Sept. 1: N.C. State (chick fil-a kickoff) – W -tough game but NC St. historically starts slow and has a lot to replace on O next year.
Sept. 8: GEORGIA STATE - W
Sept. 15: FLORIDA – W -Florida finally has a tough game before the Vols matchup having to travel all the way to A&M. They replace QB, best two playmakers, Ocoordinator and game is in Knoxville.
Sept. 22: AKRON - W
Sept. 29: at Georgia – L -UGA is a tough matchup for Vols and I see us losing 3 straight unfortunately.
Oct. 13: at Mississippi State – W -Vols have a bye before this game and MSU loses their QB and RB. This will be a tough one though. Also something to keep in mind, this is our longest road trip of the season.
Oct. 20: ALABAMA – L Even with them losing a lot of Sr's they have too much talent for us
Oct. 27: at South Carolina – L -If both teams are fully healthy this will be a great game…on the road makes this lean to the L column
Nov. 3: TROY - W
Nov. 10: MISSOURI – W -Missouri will be too beat up this late in their first SEC season and with the game being in Knoxville Vols romp. they also visit the swamp the week before coming to Knox...lots of travel.
Nov. 17: at Vanderbilt – W -Neyland west will be rockin’
Nov. 24: KENTUCKY – W -PAYBACK

I feel good about everything but 3 things for 2012:

1. Will our running game be a threat.
2. Will our dline control the line of scrimmage.
3. Will our special teams be reliable.

I am also forecasting 9 - 3.

After this year-- I am not taking that to the bank and/or headed to Vegas but with a little good fortune that should be what we are capable of.

I agree with 9-3 and losses to UGA, Bama, and USCe. NCSU won't be as tough as some are saying. UF is going to be a hell of an ugly game.

I think NCST loses all the stars that did so good last night. I know the QB and big WR are gone.

I think the NCST game will be a big key for us next year. I hope we win and win big to get some steam going into the season.

Yeah, this Ga dome nonsense is getting old. Furthermore, NC state is a less than middle of the road team that is losing a lot of its talent. I think we should win by atleast 20.

Good points.

1-Oline will be one more year bigger, stronger, and better. That is the first step in helping the run game. The last piece which we won't have answered until the season is will a RB step up and be a gamechanger...we need one to.
2-I believe our Dline will be better in 2012 than 2011, but how much I don't know. Couch should improve dramatically taking over for Malik. Our ends should be much better, Walls, Bo, Smith, Williams are ready to step up and be great. Add in Sentimore and hopefully McCullers and this unit should get it done in 2012.
3-Gulp.

Georgia and Miss ST. are huge games. If we are undefeated, homer guess I know, going into the bama game, then gameday should be coming to town.
