FYI I predicted 6-6 in 2010 and 6-6 for this year after JJ left.

If Tennessee loses to NCSU, Dooley doesn't finish the season as Tennessee's HC.

I agree would probably start a tailspin that would be too difficult for him to stop.

Only way he could would be to respond by beating UF and UGA...which would be very unlikely.

It is imperative that we get off to a good start next year. 4-0 would make the Kentucky loss seem like a lifetime ago.

I agree.

He can't afford to lose early this coming season. The shape UF is in, he needs that win. It would be nice to absolutely curb stomp them, but the D is still going to be good for the gators.

UGA is the paper champion in the East for 2012. Richt seems to struggle when he has expectations.

Lattimore isn't going to be 100% and USCe loses 2 starters from their defensive front. Alshon is probably going pro too.

Mizzou is going to probably give a few teams trouble because of the unorthodox O they run.

I can see a 9-3 record, but we better shore up the D-line, get a running game and get better at special teams.

Hard to imagine that game meaning more than it has in the past, but in this case it does.

As most probably would agree, I believe our success next year will be largely contingent on how well we run the football.

Agree on all points...Didn't think about the UGA choking issues.

I think Mizzou upsets UGA, since it is early in the season and at UM. I am banking my Vol victory hopes on them not having enough quality depth to string together as many physical games as you have in an SEC slate.

SC is the big mystery IMO. A you have Latti being possibly not 100%, B. Connor Shaw still hasn't shown he can be a great "true qb". and C. they Clowney and a few bigtime D players but will they take a step back losing Ingram and Ellis Johnson? Also they have a very tough sched.

I think our D will be a force next season at all 3 levels.

I like the chances of the Oline improving dramatically.

The big ?'s IMO are can we find a gamebreaking RB and the kickers.

I feel good about everything but 3 things for 2012:

1. Will our running game be a threat.
2. Will our dline control the line of scrimmage.
3. Will our special teams be reliable.

With FL's Offense looking quite shaky next year they will lean on the defense and special teams even more. Their Defense is good enough to keep them in low scoring games and if they can control verticle field position it helps a struggling Offense a ton.

So those 3 points detemine that game for us:
1. Grind down their defense with ball control and just wear them down.
2. Stop the run and get after the QB. Most likely not going to be as big as a worry as the other two
3. Reliable is the word of the day. No more complete meltdown (Arky punt), no more kicking it at the oline (Vandy), and no more punts that fail to flip field postion (Every Game).
Here is to a better 2012! GBO! :loco:

I think you mean too early. To early makes no sense, but neither does Georgia's soft schedule.

i think it depends more on these upcoming juniors than anything. this is when most college players really take that BIG step. some of these guys were forced into starting roles by default, if a few of them can really step it up, we could be really good. no more youth or depth excuses this season. it's time to see some results.
