Walter Nolen question

He didn’t want him last year. Garner and UT didn’t pursue him that hard especially in comparison to other schools. I was even told that if the kid wasn’t in Knoxville that they probably wouldn’t have pursued at all.
De1 said his dad got insulted at our NIL offer and Garner’s pitch mostly constituted how he’d be developed and coached up.

aTm comes to Knoxville next year. We’re finally getting West teams to rotate onto our schedule when they’re not at their peak.
Wait and see it all comes together for them next season and they finally get their moneys worth from them for one season.

This obviously is a Huepel / Garner call … and I see no reason to question their judgement one way or the other. I have no doubt that whatever decision it is , it will be the right one. BUT this has Kiffin and ole miss written all over it

Its funny I think that every year. Even this year, LSU was breaking in a new coach had an exodus of players...but it looks like they are the second best team in the West. Ole Miss, they happened to luck into Matt Corral...Arkansas previously had a bad prior season, but were good when we played them. We seems to end up with the number 1 and 2 team in the West every year. Not sure how it happens.

I've thought that before too. its enough to drive you crazy when the team sucks and trying to get to a bowl. don't seem so bad when you beat em

More aTm drama from my friends FB post.

Denver Harris is also the idiot that filmed himself doing 60mph through a parking garage. He also skipped team curfew with Chris Marshall a few weeks back to go to Prairie View the night before the Alabama game. We aren’t dealing with very smart people that want to stay within the rules. Players like that are cancers to a locker room
When you have that many kids being that defiant, it's not cancers in the locker room....it's cancer at the top.

I personally believe it was the biggest hire on the defensive side.
This 100%. A great DL can cover for a lot of defensive liabilities. Garner will get players and will get the most out of most of the ones he gets (not every player will cut it). A Garner recruited and coached DL + a Heupel offense = building blocks for winning big.

Sometimes a change of environment changes the kid. For instance Bru McCoy said coming to Tennessee was the best decision he could have made.
