Definitely an interesting twist but a far cry from Luke Skywalker.
I think the big surprise cameo is going to be Ian McKellen as Magneto.
If you follow Mikey Sutton on FB or his webpage Geekosity, he's an insider that has a pretty incredible track record on scoops; like he called Disney buying Fox a long time ago, and Spider-Man in the MCU (both the original deal for Civil War and the last agreement). Anyway his latest scoop on it is:
This Quicksilver is the one from the X-Men universe as whatever is going on pulled him into this reality from it (rumored that everything is being controlled by Mephisto who will end up being a major villan in the next Doctor Strange). Since her family died in this reality, they are being pulled from other realities. Her father in the MCU timeline had no powers, but QS' father in the X-men universe is Magneto which would make him her father there too. Sutton said both Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan were approached to portray Magneto but it isn't known which one accepted or if they both did
I know it’s unlikely buuuut...
Good GOD, could you imagine Wolverine in the MCU? If I was Disney I’d offer up a blank check to Hugh.
Well there's still like 4 more episodes too, right? Maybe the surprise still hasnt comeI think you may be taking her statement a bit too seriously. She did say "Luke Skywalker-like", I don't believe for a second she was implying it was on the same scale as Luke Skywalker, only was looking for a way to describe the surprise and tying it to the most recent example.
And no it's not on the level but I will say thatseeing the first real on screen example of them pulling the Fox X-Men series into the MCU is a pretty decent size deal IMO.
I mean honestly there are very few things I can think of that would compare to LS showing up on TM right now.
