WandaVision on Disney+

Definitely an interesting twist but a far cry from Luke Skywalker.

I think you may be taking her statement a bit too seriously. She did say "Luke Skywalker-like", I don't believe for a second she was implying it was on the same scale as Luke Skywalker, only was looking for a way to describe the surprise and tying it to the most recent example.

And no it's not on the level but I will say that
seeing the first real on screen example of them pulling the Fox X-Men series into the MCU is a pretty decent size deal IMO.

I mean honestly there are very few things I can think of that would compare to LS showing up on TM right now.

I think the big surprise cameo is going to be Ian McKellen as Magneto.

If you follow Mikey Sutton on FB or his webpage Geekosity, he's an insider that has a pretty incredible track record on scoops; like he called Disney buying Fox a long time ago, and Spider-Man in the MCU (both the original deal for Civil War and the last agreement). Anyway his latest scoop on it is:

This Quicksilver is the one from the X-Men universe as whatever is going on pulled him into this reality from it (rumored that everything is being controlled by Mephisto who will end up being a major villan in the next Doctor Strange). Since her family died in this reality, they are being pulled from other realities. Her father in the MCU timeline had no powers, but QS' father in the X-men universe is Magneto which would make him her father there too. Sutton said both Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan were approached to portray Magneto but it isn't known which one accepted or if they both did

If you know the comics origin of the twins then that would make a ton of sense.

I know it’s unlikely buuuut...
Good GOD, could you imagine Wolverine in the MCU? If I was Disney I’d offer up a blank check to Hugh.

I'm pretty sure I had read that
Jackman has said that the only thing that would make him keep going as Wolverine would be if the X-Men went into the MCU. But I think that was before Logan and since I think he said he thinks Logan was the perfect send off for him. But you never know.

Since this is the de facto MCU thread at the moment, I'm now wondering with the concept of the multiverse in this show and in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange 2 (which this show is helping to set up those 2 movies), I'm wondering if Marvel is simply going to treat the Netflix MCU shows as in an alternate universe now. They are bringing back some of the same actors (Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal, Krysten Ritter) but they've said they won't reference the Netflix shows.

My guess this is what will happen to almost all the old MCU shows (Inhumans, Cloak and Dagger, Runaways) besides Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter.
