WandaVision on Disney+

Days of Future Paste was based off Days of Future Past (Uncanny X-Men 142-143).

I don’t think this is based off House of M but I do think it could very well lead to a reverse outcome of sorts. Instead of ‘No more mutants’ she actually creates mutants.

I know DOFP was based off the comic of the same, but it definitely seemed like they pulled some material from it and House of M. But again, comic series seem to use some of the same bits of storylines from time to time for continuity purposes, so maybe it's coincidence.

I’ve never read it but I think a lot of the concepts pull pretty heavily from this Vision series...

I'm pretty sure Marvel producers/writers have already confirmed WandaVision is inspired from House of M, but I could be wrong. Either way, the parallels are clearly there. There are even several Easter Eggs that are nods to this in the series. The French wine bottle from episode 1 is labeled Maison du Mepris which translates to "House of Misery." There are also the windows in the background on one of the episodes that clearly are set in a way that makes an "M." There is also this: WandaVision "Awakening" Easter Egg References House of M

Man they had to tease Rambeau's contact again. I thought it was going to end with them getting to them and revealing and I'm really hoping it's who I think it is.

So the Agnes part didn’t seem to fit with her role in the rest of the show. She seemed self aware before and not under SW control.

As far as an homage to the 50s, ok, I get it. But is this going to be the show? The schtick got old on me after 5 minutes.
Although I liked the first couple of episodes, I understand a lot of people won’t. But this is one series I think you want to see through, it keeps getting better and there’s a lot of mystery to it.

How the **** would I know that?
I didn’t even finish episode one. I’m expecting a superhero show and it’s Dick Van Dyke.
just glad it broke the netflix mold. 1 hr long episodes, with filler. got rid of kingpin (one of the few positives from the NF shows).

Look at the thumbnails for the next episodes?

I enjoyed the first episodes but had that just been the show then, yes, it would have been monotonous. Had you finished episode 1 you would have seen the mysterious person watching the show indicating something bigger going on.

It was but last week set a standard that I think eclipsed this episode. This one went more of the “tease” route again, last week made us crave serious story advancement.

Seems like they're doing these in sets of 3 acts. The 1st episode in every act sets the tone for the next 2. And the 2nd act always seems to have the big reveal (Wanda is pregnant, her brother returns). The 3rd act ties the last 2 together and sets up for the next act.

You could technically skip to episode 3 without missing too much. Episode 3 is in current times and explains what it is going on. You'll miss a few things, but you can go back and watch to catch up.

It's not so much a homage to the 50's so much as it is Wanda trying to live her "perfect" life. I think she skips forward to the next decade once the current decade begins to show cracks in her perfect life, but that's just my opinion.

Sounds like a you problem; I mean if something doesn't grab you immediately do you just shut it off and never go back?
