Why did they make such a strong point that she hasn’t been called Scarlet Witch in the MCU.

I don't remember it being that big a deal other than Fox probably owning the rights to that name as part of its X-Men deal.

Her being called Scarlett Witch could be one of the things that come out of WandaVision..

One of the more dumb things I saw on Twitter reading comments to articles on the episode was apparently there were Marvel snobs who had no idea ..
this version of Pietro was.

Some saying why did they recast him and not bring back the one from Ultron.

Elizabeth Olsen is saying the show is going to have a “Luke Skywalker-like” appearance.

As much as I love MCU, they don’t have a character that would make that kind of impact at this point. I’m sure whatever they have planned will be exciting but so many factors were in play for Mandalorian’s finale that the MCU just can’t replicate that kind of surprise.

I mean Tony Stark or Steve Rogers would have that sort of impact. But it'll like just be Dr. Strange.

Everyone is still speculating about who she is referring to. I feel pretty confident she was referring to the Quicksilver cameo.

Maybe, but as someone else mentioned Paul Bettany said it was a great actor that he had always wanted to work with. Evan Peters isn't super well known. Ian Mckellan on the other hand does fit that description, and is British, so he would likely be someone Paul Bettany would idolize.

Also, considering this is the start of the multi-verse timeline, and Scarlett Witch is going to be in the next Dr. Strange film, I think it's fairly likely Dr. Strange will make an appearance too.

Bethany was in The Da Vinci Code with McKellen. Now they may not have had actual scenes together so to Bethany that may not count.

But Bethany has not worked with Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, or Hugh Jackman.

It would be pretty cool to see any of them. I imagine Fassbender would fit into the timeline better than McKellan and could actually have a future in the MCU. I don't know that he would give that Luke Skywalker shock factor though. Of course, Elizabeth Olson could just be exaggerating for affect.

Hugh Jackman on the other hand would definitely have that Luke Skywalker factor, I just don't see how he fits into the story line.

Has he ever worked with Cumberbatch? We may be looking too deep at this.

Not sure. He said who ever it is they "have fireworks", which I took to mean they have a fight sequence. To me it sounds like he could throw down with Magneto.

Also techincally he was in Infinity War with Cumberbatch, but again I'm not sure what he means by "work with". If he means has scenes with, I don't think he filmed any in Infinity War with Doctor Strange.

And yes, we probably are looking too deep into this.

I hope I didn't come off as rude with the "looking too deep" comment. I just honestly don't want the Fox X-Men characters to just jump into the MCU. I love the X-Men and enjoyed most of those movies, but I am maybe more excited to see who Marvel might cast for their own takes on the X-Men.

I think they may do a mix of old and new. Some they may pull from the mulitverse, some they may recast. I'm pretty sure Wolverine will be new. Deadpool is easy since he already breaks the 4th wall so he can just pretend he's been in the MCU the whole time.

The reports are that's how they are doing the Netflix characters, they are keeping DD, JJ, and Punisher as the same actors, but Iron Fist will be recast and it's up in the air about Mike Coulter as Luke Cage. I'm pretty sure they are going to frame the Netflix shows as "alternate universe" now.

There's a part of me that thinks a shaved head Hugh Jackman would make a great Charles Xavier.

My understanding fun one of the fan sites I watch on YouTube is that he never worked with Cumbernbach. They never actually had any scenes together. Cumbernbach worked the new York and space sets. Bettany was only in Europe and wakanda scenes.

I think last episode all but confirmed that Agnes is Agatha Harkness. From the tiger references, to the commercial from early in the season, to the previews of her in a witch costume. All of this suggest that she is Agatha Harkness, as many have suspected for awhile. She also always seems to be there whenever Wanda needs her, like a premonition or something.

After watching more videos and doing some reading, I also think that anything Spider-man related is super unlikely to show up, since Sony still owns those rights.

That leaves Fantastic 4 and X-men as the most likely crossovers/introductions in this series

Considering this is based largely around the comic series "House of M", the X-Men have the obvious tie in. Also, in the X-verse of cinema, Days of Future Past seems to take some inspiration from House of M as well, but I am not 100% confident about that since a bunch of comic series seem to use similar story lines. Either way, the timelines match up. I just think there are just too many connections for the special cameo not to be one of Professor X, Magneto, or Wolverine. In the comic, Professor is holding back Scarlett Witch's powers, which would explain the forcefield around "the Hex." However, Wolverine is largely the main character in the comic series, so a crossover would make a lot of sense, and would absolutely make everryone go crazy. Magneto's tie ins are obvious too and McKellan or Fassbender would make fans geek out.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to possibly see all 3 in a cameo scene that leads into Dr. Strange 2, given how important each character is to the story line arc in the comics.

I never liked Coulter as Cage. His acting skills were pretty mediocre in my opinion. Netflix likewise cast a terrible Iron Fist.

Days of Future Paste was based off Days of Future Past (Uncanny X-Men 142-143).

I don’t think this is based off House of M but I do think it could very well lead to a reverse outcome of sorts. Instead of ‘No more mutants’ she actually creates mutants.
