Maybe NATO needs to jettison a few deadbeat “partners” and admit a couple of new ones that will be much more of an asset if they want to keep this thing together.

That's because by October they have no heat since they went all in on climate change and closed their coal and nuclear power plants and made millions of solar panels in a country that has 300 days of cloudy weather a year, brilliant decision. How stupid can one country be?

Like how do you see that? I'm seeing the exact opposite.

You have a country that's essentially in NATO at this point. That's going to be invaded. And the best response NATO has is sanctions, that will likely be minor (no Nord Stream 2). So Ukraine will turn to Russia with tail between legs saying ok, we won't join NATO. And the deadbeat NATO will claim victory that they prevented war by leaving Ukraine no choice but surrender before the war even started. Because it's allies were nowhere to be found.

So to defeat NATO, the entity specifically created to counter them, all they had to do was bark once they laid their foundation (energy dependence in Europe). Europe is weak.

But Ukraine isn’t in NATO. They aren’t “essentially in NATO.” That’s the whole point. Nobody is obligated to defend them.

NATO is almost certainly why you haven’t heard anything about Russia “looking out for the safety of their fellow Russians” in the Baltics.

Gonna be honest, I don't see Putin in any sort of win/win situation in regards to this Ukraine thing. He literally just wants to attack a country over its own sovereignty. I get it if it was for oil, diamonds, hot Ukrainian women, but its not. Its about being butt hurt over the cold war. He either has to invade Ukraine and make the world hate him even more, or leave with his tail between his legs and make the world continue to maintain their elevated hatred towards him and Russia and he looks like a punk b!tch.

They amended their constitution to say they will join NATO. If Germany isn't willing to defend Ukraine now, they either won't let them in NATO or won't defend them when they are in NATO. If they can't defend themselves, they should just save face and abandon the idea of NATO.

During a Monday afternoon conference call, the nation’s top cybersecurity officials briefed state and local government agencies and cybersecurity personnel, warning them to look out for signs of Russian activity on their networks. You are welcome to list all the things NATO has implemented outside of the US to defend Ukraine. Germany and France have done next to nothing, NATO is useless. NATO’s entire mission is to keep Russia in check so of course they are going to protest but not much other than that. Where was NATO during the annexation of the Crimea? What does NATO bring to the table other than leeching off of the US? The US’s greatest ally is Great Britain and would still be the US’s greatest ally with or without NATO. We waste billions of dollars a year propping up NATO
