How much of this could have been recovered from Afghanistan and sent to Poland for next to no cost to them? Instead of us charging an ally for some of these weapons, we could have given this ally what we essentially threw away to our alleged enemies.

How did this benefit Poland?

Putin should be told that until he removes all troops from Crimea and the other regions of Ukraine that Russian troops have invaded, that he can go pound sand. If he wants "security" it starts with him not invading his neighbors. If the people on those regions want Russian rule, they can move to Russia.

I think it's rather obvious Putin is attempting to goad us into response to heat up a cold war/Luke warm war. We aren't biting and he's escalating incrementally. I think if he believes he can be will take a couple of areas and annex them. He wants a Boogeyman to blame it on and parade it in propoganda for his people. So far we aren't taking the bait.

There was no way in hell Putin was going to jeopardize the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea after the 2014 US led coup.
