War in Ukraine

The russian orc was ignored out of the G20 today, had to leave almost immediately. Russia made it seem like they wanted to leave tho. They probably had a couple of countries in that new axis they are trying to form talk to them before they got shued out.

Russia now has what it needs to resupply an amy. That land is THAT valuable. It's Iron Ore and Natural Gas. Nuclear as well. It does NOT have the people tho.

It’s also satisfying seeing Russia’s former colonies fortunate enough to have joined NATO telling their former oppressor to go **** themselves.

I respect the heck out of that..punching a bully in the nose.

Go Israel!

Meanwhile, more money going to Ukraine...

White House Unveils $400M More In Military Aid To Ukraine, Marking 15th Package | ZeroHedge

The Washington Post, CNBC and others are reporting Friday that the Biden White House is readying yet another $400 million weapons package for Ukraine, which will mark the 15th round of security assistance since the Russian invasion.

A senior defense official has been cited as saying the specific weapons will be tailored to repel a broader Russian assault in the Donbas, though the recent weeks of fighting have made clear that battlefield momentum is currently with the Russians.

By having homogeneous small wealthy populations and then relying on US or NATO defense against aggressors?
Looking at USN&WR's 2021 list of highest standards of living, not necessarily. Homogeneous populations shouldn't be a factor anyway, but some of those above us are pretty heterogeneous. Maybe our standard of living would be higher if we spent less on the military and invested the savings in infrastructure, public health, and education.

I think more of the budget for our military budget should go to our troops in the form of pay raises and to ensure our troops are properly employed once they get out.

Or we let people keep more of their own money.

How would you ensure troops are properly employed once they get out? Are you suggesting the government tell private businesses who they must hire?

I assume many of them would take advantage of the GI Bill to go to college or learn a trade. I hope they get good advice on the way out regarding skills that are in demand.
