War in Ukraine

Mickey Rourke breaks down reflecting on meeting with Putin, urges him to 'stop this s---' in Ukraine

Mickey Rourke said he considered Putin to be 'empathetic' when he met him in 2014

In a new episode of "Piers Morgan Uncensored," Oscar-winning actor Mickey Rourke broke down in tears while recalling a personal interaction he had with Russian President Vladimir Putin as he struggled to contend with the realization that the man he once thought to be "empathetic" bears sole responsibly for the murderous atrocities committed in Ukraine.

The actor and former boxer sat down with Morgan to discuss everything from "gold digger" Amber Heard and childhood abuse to former President Trump and Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine in the wide-ranging interview streaming now on Fox Nation.

At one point, Rourke recalled meeting Putin during a 2014 visit to Russia alongside other U.S. entertainers, where the Russian strongman sang and danced with actress Sharon Stone, Rourke said. But the actor saw a different side of Putin when he joined him on a trip to St. Petersburg to visit a home for children suffering from incurable cancer.

"I looked over at Vladimir, and I could see somebody that was genuinely concerned about where we were and someone who was empathetic and he was there for a sincere reason," Rourke told Morgan.

The idea that the same man is single-handedly responsible for the tragedies and lives lost in Ukraine "blows my mind," Rourke said, adding that he wished a "little bell would ring in [Putin’s] head or his heart and he’d wake up and just stop all this sh--."

The movie is Bat 21. A book on it as well IIRC.. Clever.
Bat 21 is "currently unavailable," other than the trailer on Prime. Ill keep an eye out for it though. If you like non-fiction/historical fiction, especially Vietnam-era, I recommend the book "Matterhorn" by Karl Malantes.

A book? If it was in the restroom, can I return it?

I just finished Phantom of the Opera and now reading Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. Not sure how my "illiterate ass" is managing that.

As for politics I would suggest people read The Smallest Minority by Kevin Williamson and Conscience of a Conservative by Barry Goldwater.

All oil exploration and production services companies have left Russia. The morons aren’t smart enough to develop their own production capacity. Over time they won’t be able to fill any real demand.

Europe finally had a painful wake up call and will move away from Russian gas. It will be painful in the short term but they will pivot to other supplies in time.

Oddly Venezuela might come out of this smelling like a rose with their proven untapped reserves of gas and oil.
Russia just sold vast amounts of oil to India and have a pipeline deal with Pakistan. This isn't about Russia maintaining ties with the "West". It is about them building a Eurasian alliance. I've tried explaining this but you all refuse to listen.

Are you actually saying "we could win if we wanted to"? I would like to hear you rationalize that. Please try.
Anybody with common sense can see that Russia hasn't even tried using much of their naval or air power. It has been mostly a ground war at this point. I'd recommend the Military Summary youtube channel as they give daily updates on this conflict.
