That is terrible to read about more and more civilians killed- mostly women and children- as Russia gets more and more desperate to salvage some kind of victory. All this needless and pointless bloodshed and suffering is appalling to me. I am sad for the families of 38,000 or so Russian soldiers killed too...surely most are young able bodied men aged 18 to 24 like everyones Army tends to be. How many Russian kids will grow up without Dad? How many Ukrainian kids will not get a chance to grow up at all? For what???

This war absolutely baffles me. If Pootin is not losing his sanity due to age or sickness ....then I don't even know what to say? Show me the logic, surely (Shirley) nearing the end of his 2 decade run as Dicktater of Russia, in attacking his much smaller neighbor...from whom he had already taken the Black Sea port etc in 2014...what was the logic behind this ultimate boondoggle of a "special operation"???

As a Russian himself, who had relatively normal upbringing etc...did he not know that these folks in Ukraine would not just lay down and surrender their beloved country...where their grandparents and parents tended these same farms and lived in these same towns and cities?
