All innocent civilian casualties are tragic. Not going to dispute that. But here you are wringing your hands about this, yet you showed no concern at all about the innocent lives lost in Donbas over the last 8 years by the Kyiv regime. And truth be told, most of the people that support a continuation of this conflict care about as much for Ukrainian lives as they do for Russian lives at this point. Ukrainians are useful idiots, pawns and cannon fodder... just keep them in the game long enough to drain Russia.

This is what governments do. But in the end, the simple question begged is, "What is the right thing to do here?"

Did the ends justify the means with Saddam? Was the US and the world a better place with him dead, or did we simply trounce a sovereign country unjustly?

Sovereign Ukraine was similarly invaded by Russia without "legitimate" casus belli. In the end, would the world be a better place if Russia wipes out Ukraine and annexes it?

I don’t care about Ukraine or Russia. Let them fight it out and whomever wins wins. Would the world be a better place if Russia won? Who knows? Frankly I don’t care. I only care about the United States.

Not happening. Putin has given NATO a long term shot of adrenaline. Before his invasion there was a chance countries like France would push for a European defensive movement independent of NATO. That’s over now. Anything European will be supplemental.

Plus there are rumors and reports that these weapons are being sold on the black market to Russians.

When there is a massive corruption at the top the people at the bottom eventually become just as corrupt.
