Oh yeah. We’re getting played. And this is a good one! There is video of the missile at impact knocking people close by to their feet. There are first hand video accounts showing the damage to vehicles and buildings. And there are eye witness interviews of people present at the time of the attack.

But you’re Johnny on spot and see thru the whole charade! Brilliant!

In case I’m not being clear this is sarcasm.

We were not drawn in to WWII. We allowed allowed ourselves to be drawn in because of our actions against Japan (sanctions/oil embargo) and this blind, slavish allegiance to the British. There was no reason for us to have been involved in WWII.

Imagine having such myopia that you fail time and time again reconciling that the Ukrainians are fighting for their country, city's, towns, neighborhoods, streets, homes, friends and family.

You ignore that these people would be fighting with or without our support. We're giving them a punchers chance AND getting to wreck Russias economy, expose, degrade and evaluate thier military while turning Putin into a international paraih.

Try applying some perspective once in a while.

Putin kept the pressure on, trying to provoke Ukraine into attacking the breakaway regions so he could play hero. After 8 years Putin realized it wasnt working so he changed the narrative, which is why you only found out in late Feb. And it suddenly became an issue of Nazis

Again there is a big difference in being "pro Russians" and just telling the facts that Ukrainr is losing. There are plenty of sources talking about the second that dont get blocked, censured, or called propaganda.

Everyone consumes what they want to consume. There are plenty here only buying the pro Ukrainian bs, and there are a couple buying the pro Russian bs that says russia has done no wrong worth commenting on.

This has been reported on for quite some time now. Even Time magazine and other outlets ran a piece on the Ukrainian neo Nazis and ultranationalists.

Yes they exist. The ultranationalist tend to become more prominent when their nation is threatened. I wonder what caused them to gain popularity? Maybe an outside threat from Russia that took land from Ukraine.

It was well before Donetsk and Luhansk declared their independence. Stepan Bandera has been a hero in Ukraine for decades now.

Do you support ultranationalism and the banning of languages?

Except we should have kept supplying Japan's involvement? We can trade with who we want. We didnt like what Japan was doing, so we said no more oil. It was Japan that chose violence. And shortly after we declared war on Japan, Germany declared on us. So again they chose to involve us. The outside world kept reaching in and dragging us to war.

No I think it's bad by whoever does it, it's not just Ukraine doing it in this conflict. Remember two of the justifications Putin has used has been to protect Russia and Russians, that's nationalist in and of itself, and empire rebuilding, comparing himself to Peter the Great. Not sure when the "ultra" tag gets thrown on but launching a full scale invasion is pretty extreme in everyone's book but your Russian bias.

Well ultranationalist by itself I have no particular issue with. The actions some of them take is certainly a considerable problem, as we are seeing from both sides.

Kind of like "Iraq definitely has WMDs" circa 2003? The primary rationale for Gulf War 2 was simply fabricated.

This is what governments do. But in the end, the simple question begged is, "What is the right thing to do here?"

Did the ends justify the means with Saddam? Was the US and the world a better place with him dead, or did we simply trounce a sovereign country unjustly?

Sovereign Ukraine was similarly invaded by Russia without "legitimate" casus belli. In the end, would the world be a better place if Russia wipes out Ukraine and annexes it?

I think not.

And that is what this war is all about.
