He’s a Nalvany guy, so he may well be biased against Putin’s regime. That said, his take on the dangers of a ceasefire is almost certainly correct.

It’s just an opinion. But his opinion lines up directly with mine. Make the European people feel pain so they pressure their leaders for a cease fire. And once Pootin gets that cease fire line he’ll redraw maps and call it permanent, then rearm and attack down the road. It’s what he did 8 years ago after all and the West is now having the bill accelerated and come due for 8 years of inaction.

It should never happen at all if the current state and attitude persists. But to the Tweet thread’s point if Pootin can manage to get a cease fire the Europeans will quickly go back to out of sight out of mind.
