War in Ukraine

What do you think is going to happen? Some UKR militia group is going to use them to attack Poland?

Let me get this straight, you're saying that Ukraine, or some militia group inside Ukraine, is eventually going to attack Poland?
Upon what do you base that other than an extrapolation of the actions of people inside two countries (using that term loosely when it comes to Afghanistan) we occupied.

No, I asked trying to get the basis for @rekinhavoc's comparison to those two "countries." They seem quite a bit different to me. Sure there's corruption in Ukraine, but the country isn't largely controlled by militia groups.

We provided weapons for Afghanistan to fight the Russians and we provided Iraq weapons to fight Iran. We ended up fighting both countries and probably some of those same weapons were used against our troops.

I’m fairly confident we won’t be fighting Ukraine any time soon.

Those weapons and equipment in Afghanistan are now in the hands of the Taliban. And some of the weapons and equipment we sent to Iraq ended up in the hands of ISIS.

Also Saddam used those same weapons and equipment to invade Kuwait.

Most of their equipment was from the Soviet Union. In fact, almost all of it. They had a few US WW2 tanks (captured from Iran) but I'm 100% sure played almost no role in invading Kuwait..

SMH.

"Eighteen House Republicans objected to the measure: Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Dan Bishop (N.C.), Lauren Boebert (Colo.), Madison Cawthorn (N.C.), Ben Cline (Va.), Michael Cloud (Texas), Warren Davidson (Ohio), Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Bob Good (Va.), Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.), Morgan Griffith (Va.), Thomas Massie (Ky.), Tom McClintock (Calif.), Mary Miller (Ill.), Ralph Norman (S.C.), Matt Rosendale (Mont.), Chip Roy (Texas) and Jefferson Van Drew (N.J.).

The measure specifically demonstrates support for Finland and Sweden joining NATO — which they applied to do in May — and urges member states to formally support their push to join the alliance."

Is the opposition to the measure concern that Putin will escalate if they join?

The United States played a big role in helping Iraq during the Iraq-Iran War. Just like they helped the "freedom fighters" of Afghanistan in their conflict with the Soviet Union. These are both well documented.
