War in Ukraine

Wow... I just went to the RAND Wiki page. Very first paragraph... no bias in that think tank whatsoever.

RAND Corporation - Wikipedia

So a military supplier offering military advice to the US govt. I wonder what kind of guidance military contractors are most likely to offer? Diplomacy? Negotiated peace? Non-interventionist policy? Just wondering out loud.
They’re financed by who pays for their research Moe. As usual you cherry picked the only funding source that fits your dumbass screech. Instead of attacking the messenger attack their work products since their works are sourced with their references in a detailed bibliography 🤡

I understand the NAP extremely well. I also understand property rights. I'm not sure you understand either. The non-aggression principle is not violated by freedom of association.

Rather you are wanting to violate the non-aggression principle by using government force to prevent businesses from determining who they wish to employee. How do you see that as libertarian?
I never said anything about government force lol.

However labor laws do exist primarily because over time businesses and corporations treated employees in very inhumane manners and work conditions were very poor. Businesses and corporations have proven over time that they cannot be trusted by themselves. Which is why they are regulated in many ways.

And last I checked individuals voted for people like Ron Desantis. Corporations and businesses didn't vote for him.

Caucasian, Mongoloid, and Negro I believe going from memory. And some consider a fourth race related to Australia that developed on its own path that I don’t know the name of.

And that’s it. The rest start mixing those basic anthropological races and ethnicity… which is what you’re selling. Ethnicity

This is true. DNA reveals a couple thousand years after Shem, Ham, and Japheth repopulated the world (Noahs 3 sons) that there are 3 distinct races of people. Who knew? Well everyone that read the Bible...but thats about it. This russian dude is crazy.

Wow. You are a staunch defender of Rand lol

Russian? Lol. You have lost your mind on that one.

So Rand is biased. But you don’t believe that zerohedge or RT is?

Anyways. I've had enough of the comedy gold and advocates for corporate totalitarianism this afternoon. I'll be back on later tonight or maybe tomorrow. And please try and refrain from cursing Proctor. You've been doing good again lately.

Labor laws=government force. That is a violation of the NAP. You are promoting the use of government force through labor laws to limit the freedom of business owners. That is an anti-libertarian stance.

Rand is an academic think tank. I expect them to lean left. However in their work products I expect them to critically research their work and publish their sources and put their personal bias aside. And generally all of their actual published research meets that bar

Why? Because you guys can't provide reasonable arguments and actually use critical thinking skills in debates?
Because any discussion with you descends into a special type of semantical nightmare that nobody but the sorta goobers who frequent vn are willing to inflict upon their own mind

Yet I'm not the one who resorts to name calling and insults as a common tactic. That would be people such as yourself.

I really don't care if someone insults me, or someone I admire or anyone else here. Its a social media platform based on a collegiate sports program from the state of Tennessee. This isn't debate class and nobodys winning any points or making any real contribution to academics, let alone on any policy makers in America. There is no real point in any of this and most people who keep posting itt are just here to amuse themselves while taking a ****, or avoiding their job (or wife).

I'm just pointing out the usual tactics you and a few others resort to almost every single time. In this example here you could have saved yourself the time and not responded to any of my posts.

So you're against child labor laws? Or laws enforcing safety? Are you against the health department performing restaurant inspections? I think that you are wanting to promote is some form of anarchy with business owners to be at the top rung of society. Libertarians aren't anti government.

A violation of the NAP would be a business owner wanting to force medical treatment on employees.

Libertarians are anti-intervention in foreign affairs and foreign conflicts. A real libertarian wouldn't be on here cheering our involvement in Ukraine.

You are exactly right... had this been Americans bombing some random 3rd World country, this is exactly the approach we would have taken. No one is arguing that point. However, The Russians could not employ shock and awe in the Donbas because that would mean destroying a bunch of civilian targets and pretty much putting Russian civilian lives at greater risk and plus ringing up a higher price tag once the conflict is over and it is time to rebuild. Again, notice that outside of Mariupol and Severodonetsk/Lysychansk, the remaining portions of Donbas, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson are mostly in tact with all utilities, civilian locations and other civil services in place. Had the Americans been doing this, civil services would have been out in the first 3-4 days and large portions of the country would be in rubble.
Funny that you start out by pointing out the worst America does, and then say to ignore the worst that Russia has done. No agenda what so ever.

If you are worried about cost the disrupted time usually ends up being worse than the cost of lost assets.

Ukraines GDP was 200 billion in 2021, what's it going to be in 2022 and 2023, even if the war ends this year? Add to that the actual losses incurred. And I would bet it adds up a lot quicker than taking down their grid in SE Ukraine.

The rolling battles we are seeing destroys far more than American shock and Awe. You cant fight a land battle over an area and not impact the adjacent infrastructure. You really think all these artillery barrages, air strikes, cruise missiles, tanks, armored vehicles, and basic foot soldiers with small arms have magically ignored the power lines, roads, etc?

If Russia was concerned about the damage they never would have invaded. There is no way even you can argue that the Nazis were doing more actual damage to Ukraine than this war is.
