Ukraine wants a 'NATO-esque' bloc which can be called upon to immediately defend borders with Russia, which was proposed by a working group established by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Crucially it would include the United States and other NATO allies providing Ukraine with "security guarantees". Kiev officials stressed in unveiling the plan Tuesday that it's not meant as a replacement for NATO, but as a legally binding alliance to be in place while Ukraine eventually pursues full NATO membership, as Newsweek describes of the proposal:
The Kyiv Security Compact (KSC)—proposed by Andriy Yermak, the head of Zelensky's office, and former NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen—would also establish a "multi-decade" plan of investment, military training, and intelligence sharing to bolster Ukraine's defensive capabilities as the country pursues full NATO membership.
The Kremlin's reaction has been swift and fierce, with Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev warning that it is "really a prologue to the Third World War" if it gets enacted. He described that nuclear holocaust would be the end result.
Lol. You really lack reading comprehension skills. I'll embarrass you again when I feel like it. And you know which two times I'm referring to - Russian Wheat Exports and Pizza Delivery Drivers.Nope you were supposed to embarrass me “again”. And oddly I can’t think of a single time your smooth brain had embarrassed me in the past so I was intrigued.
And yes we know, Scott Farkas’s toadie, that in your small non folded brain you’re convinced you’re some kind of mental ninja going around humbling people on a whim. So embarrass me Curly!
I think we are committing too much money too fast but there is no way in hell we pass up just writing a check to destroy Russia. Absolutely no way. And we will never see ROI this high on foreign aid money in our lifetimes.
What has Russia done in the last 8 years to build up or prepare? Just a couple days ago you were claiming they werent prepared for this war in their (Russian) ammo production.
And why would Russian resolve matter if they are the ones attacking, and if the real goal is an economic war.
And the NATO creep has also been autonomous people making decisions to join NATO. Not NATO invading said countries and saying you are a part of us now.
I read just fine. You once again fumble in your own dumbassery and get called on it. Go ahead embarrass me “again” Curly.Lol. You really lack reading comprehension skills. I'll embarrass you again when I feel like it. And you know which two times I'm referring to - Russian Wheat Exports and Pizza Delivery Drivers.
I also told you trolls and cackling hens that Russia's economy would be just fine and in reality they have many other trading partners who aren't part of the West. As a matter of fact you all have embarrassed yourselves on that talking point that their economy would go back to the dark ages. I didn't even really have to try to embarrass you all on that one.
Russia is absolutely going to be dismantled and they did it themselves. And like it or not we agreed to provide lethal aid in 1994 and we are. I do think Europe should pay for the rebuilding and I hope they turn over that $340B of Russian assets to Ukraine but I’m under no illusions there either we will pony up a huge chunk of change as always.Russia isn't going to be destroyed, maybe at best Putin is tossed out of office (or a window) and Russia exposed as a 3rd rate power but they're not going to be destroyed. Europe should be picking up the tab for this, not us.

That’s too bad to hear and sounds like Ras. No it isn’t null and void hog.IMO the 1994 agreement is null and void. Western Europe holds some responsibility in this, they have allowed themselves to become dependent on Russian energy and would be next on the chopping block if Russia had the capability. Hell Western Europe is largely responsible for funding Putin's invasion and should have cut off all gas/oil purchases in February so f^ck them. Europe should be paying for all of this.

And “Europe” didn’t sign the Budapest Memorandum. The US, Uk, Russia, and Ukraine did.
I’ve been over this with Ras. “Guarantees” would have meant US troops dying in Ukraine “assurances” was used to avoid that and absolutely was intended to convey lethal aid. And pedantically parsing it now to say otherwise is disingenuousThe Budapest Memorandum provides Ukraine "security assurances" not "security guarantees". It does not guarantee or promise that we will provide them with any weapons or aid.
