Assad invited Russia into Syria.Zelensky probably isn’t a good guy, but he’s also not the aggressor here.
Besides, we tried this with Assad in Syria and Ras practically tripped over his own d*** crying about how Assad was democratically elected and that rumors of his use of chemical weapons against his own people were just CIA false flag operations. In fact, Ras cheered when Russia put boots on the ground in Syria in an effort to prop up Assad.
That will never happen and you know it.I haven't mentioned Grenada not even once lol.
And if you guys really are that concerned about sovereign nations being invaded or attacked then go ahead and condemn every other country that's doing it right now. If not then you and others are nothing but hypocrites.
There's levels to this. We are all sinners in the eyes of the creator (even 3elensky). But if you put the two on opposite sides of the scale, 3elensky has in 7 months had the blood of more people on his hands than Putin could lie about in 20+ years. You’re right. Putin is a saint and his Holy Crusade against Zelensky and the West is just and righteous.
Oil and gas sells itself. Russia doesn't have to do a damn thing. Europe can play all the silly azz games they want.Well, the problem is the Russians already basically said they were out of the whole negotiations thing for a reason. Its always possible someone like Turkey or China tries to get them back in there.
Russia is currently selling oil and gas to Europe, just some of the stuff has been shutdown. Also, plenty of oil is still getting to Europe from Russia via third parties i.e. huge markups.
Europe is going to have to find lots of new energy for the medium and long-term even if all parties agreed to end all this tomorrow. There are long-term problems for Europe... and increasingly for the United States. Energy production in the U.S. hasn't really gone up for 15-20 years despite the population rise.
These are long-term problems.
He could have taken Georgia in 2008, Ukraine in 2014 and Kazakhstan this past January. Putin missed his chance to be the digital age's Ghengis Khan.Only problem is, if this were true, Putin could have taken the whole of Ukraine quite easily in 2014. He could take the whole of Ukraine today as well, although it would be considerably harder than it would have been in 2014.
Spokesman: Zelenskyy in car accident, no serious injuriesThere's a better chance of Ukrainian military going after 3elensky.
Hes turning himself into a liability for Putin
Looks like it has been a bit strained recently, but the general point I was making is that there are multiple players involved on both sides of this conflict that should incentivize finding a diplomatic solution. Too many entangling interests that I'm sure no one wants to escalate and get too far out of hand. However, as long as Russia is distracted in Ukraine, there is a risk of this thing festering longer than it needs to.
Isreal having an interest in this complicates it even more.
No, we don't agree on that. Russia has earned much credence with the rest of the world outside of the West. You are delusional right now. You don't see Turkey, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Argentina and the rest of the Global South aligning against the West? For once we agree on something Ras. Though I think we can both agree that one of the consequences of Russia's invasion is they can't play peacemaker here.
