War in Ukraine

Which goes back to what I asked these Ukrainiacs a long time ago... how does buying more expensive and less reliable US LNG benefit the people of Europe vs buying cheaper more reliable energy from Russia? Russia didn't cut off their energy supply or use energy blackmail... it was the self-imposed sanctions by the Europeans that limited their energy supplies. End the sanctions, apologize and sit down with the Russians to establish a new European security agreement and all of this ends.

Yep I do! He was inflating his position just like you do routinely! And you guys were playing the Russian race stupidity while we had to point out that was dumb and wrong as ethnic and race arenโ€™t the same. As usual in this thread.
It's simple there is the nation known as Russia. There are different races of people in Russia such as:

Russian
Chechen
Avar
Dargin
Ossetian
Ukrainian
Koryaks
Tatars

And many more.

That can be difficult to pick. A known liar is an easy one to stay away from. I like several news outlets but I will stay away from proven liar "reporters." I don't understand why some of you struggle with this. By continually following a known liar, as a individual contributor, you just show you really don't give a **** what any source says as long as you agree with it.
What's your problem with Business Insider?

Don't have one with them. Or that reporter. The fact you follow liar jack gives you a major credibility problem. A liar doesn't always lie. But once shown to be a liar should never be followed again
Technically I follow no one anymore...

We've reached the stage where Russian media is more critical of the Russian government than the Russophiles here.

It's amazing. Well not really. Morons are morons

This guy was asking the right questions right up until the end when he said "NATO has declared war on us."

Even the guys who are unhappy are still toeing that party line.

You don't like a lot of people.

Okay. Why don't you give us some names of some people you see as "credible". I'd be interested myself in seeing what names you provide.

Thatโ€™s dumb as hell Ukraine isnโ€™t our territory to negotiate away Larry
You guys have been on here trying to dictate who Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea and even Transnistria belong to. So you think the people of those territories should determine their own fate now?

It was either us or Russia.
Yeah I am not sure who I think did it. Both sides will come out with flimsy evidence or reasoning why it was the other guy. But looking at it I dont see how any argument cant be applied to the other side.

If you think the US cut it so the west relied on the US more, and Russia.couldnt sell any more oil/gas, by the same token Russia may have cut to cause chaos and panic to turn attention from the current state in Ukraine and to make sure the west couldnt buy anymore oil.

As I said before it doesnt immediately hurt either side as it wasnt in use. It just effects the future. Which is alledgely Russia's aim. But because it doesnt hurt anyone immediately it may have been the low hanging fruit after Bidens comments.

The only thing that weighs to either side, imo, is Russia no longer paying transit fees for Ukrainian pipelines. I would want to see the timing to think if its part of a strategy of actually cutting off the west, or if it was reactionary to Nordstream getting blown up

I believe that it was in use and Germany was buying Russian gas outside of the sanctions.

Erdogan has to be scheming right now. The Finland/Sweden NATO vote, F-35 sales rejected, Greek troubles. US in NE Syria arming Kurds, now the MIR card threats...

I'm no fan of Erdogan or Turkey, but what benefit has it been for Turkey to be in NATO in the past 5-6 years?

Oh, I forgot about the attempted coup that may have been a Western regime change operation...
You mean the one by like three colonels, with no political backing at all, that Erdogan immediatedly used to give himself more power shortly before a vote? A vote that was in question until after Erdogan was able to make changes with his new found power?

It was a Putin/Chechnaya bombing move.

the @rekinhavoc link above yours says (I recall reading somewhere that there is an "issue" with a gas turbine or something like that on the russian supply side of the NS1):

Denmark's energy minister Dan Jorgensen said this morning: 'Yesterday, a leak was detected on one of the two gas pipelines between Russia and Denmark - Nord Stream 2. The pipeline is not in operation, but contains natural gas, which is now leaking.

'Authorities have now been informed that there have been 2 more leaks on Nord Stream 1, which is also not in operation but contains gas,' he added.

My understanding is that Germany is getting russian liquefied NG via a pipeline to china -> NG liquefication plant -> blue water ship -> Germany

The US has provided money, weapons, communication, and intelligence to one side of the conflict. That makes us a co-belligerent.

Mockingโ€ฆ not an argument
By this reasoning the entire world has been co-belligerent in just about every conflict ever. It's an impossible standard to uphold, or it gets applied so much its worthless.

I have a hard time believing anything they say.
