I just dont get it. Liberals applauding the Russia stuff which has been implanted in their heads for 6 years, becoming Neo cons before our eyes...the righties and libertarians saying funding is worth it. All the while our nation is down the crapper.

I would like to think there’s at least some level of back channel communication going on between The Kremlin/Putin and The Pentagon/whoever’s in charge in DC.

I surely hope so. Because the people handling Biden and the Victoria Nuland/Institute for Study of War crowd would have no issue sending us into a nuclear first strike conflict.

Putin signs treaties annexing Ukrainian regions

Putin signed treaties Friday to annex occupied areas of Ukraine and said he would use “all available means” to protect the territory that Ukrainian and Western officials said Russia was claiming illegitimately and in violation of international law.

In a speech preceding the treaty-signing ceremony, Putin urged Ukraine to sit down for talks to end the seven months of fighting that started when he ordered his troops to invade the neighboring country. But he warned that Russia would never give up the absorbed regions and would protect them as part of its sovereign territory.

The ceremony came three days after the completion of Kremlin-orchestrated “referendums” on joining Russia that were dismissed by Kyiv and the West as a bare-faced land grab held at gunpoint and based on lies.

Putin said Ukrainian authorities should “treat ... with respect” the lopsided results of the Moscow-managed votes and warned sternly that Russia would never surrender control of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

This appears to be Putin's line in the sand. It appears he was losing territory quickly, in this way he can save face and sell a victory to his people.....

As much as I dislike Putin you have to let him sell this and stay in power. To push it and risk escalation from a desperate man is not wise. You push this and he knows he will be emasculated and no longer thought fit to lead. Who knows what you get next. At least Putin is a known commodity and you've already galvanized his neighbors against him. They'll join NATO and put greater pressure on him.

You leave the sham elections be and draw new lines....... And prepare for the economic war to fine with China.

Well that’s really up to the Ukrainian army advancing in these areas to drive the invading bastards out now isn’t it? And they’ve stated if the sham referendums are executed there will be no diplomacy or talks. We’ll see if they follow thru on that also.
