Catherine wanted Russia to be strong and enlightened. Considering Russia is a backwards pariah state being told by the descendants of her subjects in Eastern Europe to eat ****, Catherine the Great would be humiliated by the state of Russia right now.

Russia is once again an orthodox Christian country after 70+ years of godless communism, they don't buy into the woke/birthing person nonsense and they actually have a real economy based on energy and agriculture.

Find me a Western country right now that can say the same.

How many years do y'all expect this conflict to last?

I'm all for those who despise Putin and Russia. I do also.

NATO could shut this down instantly if they chose.

It's obvious that this will continue to dwindle for a while longer.

2 years?

I have my doubts that Russia is just going to decide that they should quit doing whatever they are doing.

Yes, I’m sure Yekaterina would look at the much smaller, isolated Russia and be thrilled her serfs aren’t putting their pronouns in their social media profiles.

5-6% of russians attend church. I wouldn't say the orthodoxy doesn't have influence but lets not act like this is a nation full of devout christians.

He's likely correct to a certain extent. The way NATO quickly slapped 3elensky back when he pulled that stunt last week trying to get fasttrack NATO membership tells me that there are at least a few sane people left. But we have some very dangerous people floating around DC and London...

70+ years in a godless USSR can have an effect. I don't know about your data, but it is clear that Russia is moving in one direction while the West is moving in a totally opposite direction.

It's not a game, and it's already over fools. Every major military leader basically told you if he resorts to a tactical, the russian military will be destroyed in a matter of days by a world wide coalition.

the end is already here, at some point Russia is going to have to recognize that.

Good grief Ras. If you want to use ancient history for justification of the invasion, there are many other countries including Mongolia with claims to Ukraine. It’s asinine.

The biggest demilitarization happening in Ukraine is that of Russia. Russia doesn’t have the industrial base to replace what they are losing.

That direction really isn't any different than when Stalin revived the Orthodoxy. its really not a faith at this point. Just another wing of the surveillance state.

1991 isn't ancient history, sir. Crimea and Russia/USSR were all in the same country up until the break up of the USSR.

And you all have been talking for 6 months about the Russians running out of ammo and weapons when we have our own officials in Western countries saying that it is they who are running low.

Sorry if the truth is uncomfortable for you.

If you don't see the US going into depravity on every social issue imaginable right now while Russia is promoting traditional family and religious values, then you can't be helped.
