The Soviet Union was (key word is "was", past tense) one of the most dangerous countries on the planet... but in particular to it's own citizens. The United States, on the other hand, is (present tense) the present day terror state. Now granted, the US is not killing millions industrially as the USSR or Maoist China, but we do our fair share of destruction and control with regards to our empire. You don't want to get me started on KSA. **** the royals. **** anyone who deals with them and **** anyone who covers for their crimes against women and anyone else.
What you're glossing over here is I've stated ITT that the US and Russia both are more responsible for death and suffering around the world than any other nations on Earth. You can probably throw China in the mix, but the **** that happened in the cold war across the world was some seriously dark **** all in the name of the paranoia and fear between the two.
Nothing is ever going to get any better if these two countries don't stop using the other to juatify their own misdeeds. But you go on ahead and keep blaming the US for everything Russia does. Keep using the KSA as a counterpoint to absolve the crimes of Iran. I'll just keep saying **** 'em all.
Ukrainians are expendable. Russians are evil barbarians. Serbs are just evil.Although the amount of total money put into Afghanistan will be much higher, my guess is the ROI is going to be much higher in the Ukraine for US and Ukrainian politicians.
The Ukrainians are expendable ants at best, hopefully someone can save a few of those women... hot. Hot women only get you so much.
Read "Confessions of An Economic Hitman". That has been the US policy since the Dulles brothers in the 1950s.Russia and by extension the Soviets and the current Chinese aren't and never have helped out foreign countries for altruistic purposes; it's always been to grab resources, grab geography for strategic purposes. or to foment disorder and revolution in the hope that the rest of the world will have to sink resources there to minimize bloodshed. Sino/Soviet "anti colonialism" is simply reverse enslavement - just a different proprietor, and "wars of liberation" are just a lie.
Putin in a lot of ways really seems to be idealistic and naive. He gave diplomacy a chance for the 8 years leading up to February 24th and still leaves the door cracked open 7 months later. But at some point, he's going to have to realize that the other side is not interested in negotiating in good faith.Although there could have been hyper sonic used, its looked like from video that they were cruise missiles, of course, some were fairly long range.
The purpose was to take out infrastructure and some of it was decent range, so it probably did cost a few bones. Its war, no reason to save it.
What Russia has to do is keep hitting the infrastructure, as you have to keep hitting as they rebuild. I would just take out the whole grid nation wide but that is just me. He might later regard not just taking the whole grid down from the start and send them back to the Dark Ages. I would have. People don't do well without electricity and food.
What is the difference between the US being allied and sponsoring a country that car bombed a journalist/activist (Dugina) and some random ME country car bombing someone? This is why I label the West a death cult. It's not just the fact we havent advocated peace but have gone out of our way to almost ensure the worst possible outcome in Ukraine is achieved. Our Fed Govt is corrupt to its core.
Can't wait to see the response from our resident Putinistas

Comparing Japan, a country that didn't sell its troops to the USA during the Vietnam War, to South Korea whose dictator did is a very fair comparison.
His party has roughly 80% of the seats in the Russian parliament and is the party that is obviously preferred by the majority of Russian citizens. If Putin is somehow replaced it will more than likely be by someone else from the United Russia party. That was the point being made. But his party controls 90% of the government....lol...hahahahahhah.....I can't believe one of our resident geniuses tried to argue that
