What would have been the problem with Yanukovich in 2013 being able to have the flexibility to have economic dealings with both the EU and Russia? That was the origins of the problem. Ukraine has economic ties to Russia, along with the obvious ethnic and historical ties. But the Europeans/US wanted Yanukovich to sign a deal where Ukraine was exclusively to deal with Europe and end dealings with Russia. No, Putin just wants to make it a vassal state.
You and your orc homies should probably worry less about Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and more about the North Crimean Canal Moe because that spigot is about to get cut off again.WOW...This is projecting. It is the Ukrainians that are actually trying to attack that hydroelectric plant.
And the explanation given makes zero sense. Cover a retreat from the right bank? So they would blow up a damn and flood the area, which would in turn make retreating to the left bank that much more difficult?
Right bank = west side, left bank = east side.
So if they cross to the west/right bank, they are going to retreat to a flooded Dneiper and go to the east/left bank?
Why not ask the Ukrainian parliament since they are the ones that threw his ass out Moe.What would have been the problem with Yanukovich in 2013 being able to have the flexibility to have economic dealings with both the EU and Russia? Why did the West force an all or nothing deal?
Heh. Exactly.
Things are so rosy in Kherson according to the Russian General that they have declared martial law, ordered all civilians to abandon the city west of the river, and have publicly stated that the situation is "very, very difficult".
Ukrainian troops reportedly outnumber Russians by a 4:1 ratio in Kherson.
When the Russians surrender the city, @volgr will blame Ukrainian Nazi witchcraft.

So again… links to actual reporting with verification of losses in Kherson, Larry?
That is 100% false. Boris Johnson flew to Kyiv and told them to scrap the deal.
For 8 years, Putin had hoped that Minsk would be implemented. All it would have required was the recognition of Crimea as Russian territory, Donbas would still have been autonomous regions in Ukraine, and that Ukraine would remain neutral and not join NATO.
8 years he tried for diplomacy.
Obama's State Department starting a coup in 2013 and destabilizing the govt on its border and then spending 8 years building up a NATO trained and equipped army is certainly threatening.
Oh I’d find it extremely hard to believe that after 3 decades of corruption and minimal financial resources that Russia has somehow bypassed all that resistance and managed to keep its nukes in a tip top state of readiness.I don't know if it's true, but here's a report that Putin recently attempted 2 nuclear tests that didn't happen, either due to technical failure or people refusing to conduct the test.

The total committed this far is ridiculous and way too much and you know how I feel on supporting this effort. It’s out of control.Good grief, when does it end?
It's getting comical now. Like it's not even real money.

In fact I can’t see how they could possibly spend what’s been committed before this possible new bucket in continuing to arm Ukraine at the present weapons supply levels.
I want to say the last committed dollar amount was $65B? But I read something recently they’ve only spent $13.7B since the outbreak of hostilities? At that rate there’s like 2.5 years left in the checking account and this thing can’t last that long. Doesn’t add up.There is already talk about where all this money is going. Unaccountable. Ukraine is one of the most corrupt gov on Earth . Hunter agrees.
