War in Ukraine

OK, I'll rephrase it a bit. Crude oil is an international commodity; our domestically produced crude is priced according to commodity pricing. OPEC plays games with quantity and pricing which drives world crude pricing, so directly or indirectly - however you want to play your game - we pay a premium for gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, etc because the OPEC members (especially the Saudis) do drive the price.

The Saudis didn't drive up the price. The USA and Russia have been the main drivers of oil prices this year. The Saudis can still get pilot training through private companies in the USA. Saudis learned to fly in Florida and Arizona flight schools, and they completely outclassed the USAF and USN on 9/11. The USA's leadership can be bought cheaply. Americans will do what the Saudis tell us to do. Saudi private citizens had the privilege to fly after the 9/11 attacks when American citizens were banned from boarding flights. The Saudis have the power and we're just their insignificant underlings.

I think Biden is assuming this is his last chance to get money in the budget and it has to last through the end of his term.

A lot of money included in the last "Ukrainian aid package" didn't go to Ukraine at all. The devil is in the details, and everybody should know by now that funding packages are never (pretty safe word when congress starts spending) what they appear to be - the naming has always been fictitious to protect the guilty which is most (probably all) of congress.

So basically the Democrats are trying to front load war spending because they’re worried the Republicans will cut off war spending once they get control of Congress back.

What a world 😂

The dems are building a big slush fund for something. Hopefully the other side of the aisle will start impeaching if the administration starts redirecting it - what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

The most prosperous nations in the history of the World, including us, and being thrown in the waste bin. What changed and who leads this nonsense?

Government started "taking care" of people; we are no longer self reliant. The other part is that people need commodities and those are priced, distributed, and manipulated by commodity markets; markets that are far more about speculative value and investment than in doing the intended job of bringing order to the market. Too many super middlemen who add nothing skimming and increasing prices to the consumer. A lot of that is because we no longer buy locally - look no further than the origin of goods in your grocery store.

Getting concerned about this Russian pullback in Kherson. Russians indicate it's to reshape their lines and prepare for potential Ukrainian assaults. But now there are reports that officers are being pulled back from their units. That usually results in very static Russian positions (Remember, they do not use their noncoms like we do. When they are without officer leadership they stop and hold until new officers arrive.) Also hearing reports that the new conscripts are already showing up on the front lines with little to no equipment or training. Wondering if this is the precursor to tactical nukes.

Putin could be clearing the zone of civilians and his combat leadership to then nuke the Ukranian front lines. He won't care about the conscripts. Some reports say the early draftees were heavily weighted from minority groups like the Tartars who the Russians wouldn't mind killing off.

Even Putin knows killing 20,000 civilians in one attack would be the end of him. So clear them out but hit the Ukrainians hard. It is now clear that Russia cannot win this war without increasing the infrastructure damage to the level the country breaks. Reports are that he is running out of conventional munitions. But all the experts say Putin knows he can't survive losing the war outright.

BTW, has anyone noticed the new flag patch showing up on Ukrainian soldiers? It's half the Ukrainian flag and half the
US flag. Nice little PR try there, but it's kind of true, their blood and our money.

You need to take a break from Western fake news media, when you start coming up with such idiotic scenarios.

Any "escalation" claimed by Russia will be 100% their doing. Gotta remember, Russian propaganda only works on morons and third world people.

Yeah I'd be worried if I were you. That's 4,700 more professional soldiers than your entire country has left.

When the troll is more important than realizing the dangerous escalation. As I have said repeatedly, the only adult in the room that has kept the children from WW3, is Putin.

Hey dummy, all this could be avoided if pootin just goes home and stops attacking a sovereign nation.

I realize that this singular fact is lost on you and your merry band of russian nut hugging sycophants, but if you can manage a moment of lucidity, try and recall that "your adult in the room" has the ability to call his orcs off at any time.

Western fake news media? You, sir, are an f'ing idiot.

Don't know what you're reading but I read articles from think tanks like the Institute for War and professional publication the the Navy's "Proceedings".

But I am sure that is inferior to your sources, such as Infowars, after all it does have war in the name.

Odd how your talking points mirror western fake news media. "I read articles from think tanks". Ok, thanks for proving my point.
