War in Ukraine

Interestingly, this is one of the metrics the UN uses when weighing the legality of a secession movement. Not that the UN can be fair in regards to Ukraine/Russia, but if they were, this would be Ukraine shooting itself in d1ck yet again.

So now with Russia getting its ass kicked, you're gonna just call the whole thing a "civil war".

Funny stuff Juicebox!

The most prosperous nations in the history of the World, including us, and being thrown in the waste bin. What changed and who leads this nonsense?

The left is to blame. Pushing green energy and allowing themselves to be invaded by people with a 7th century mindset. We see some of this here, but not on this scale. Don't worry, they will at least partially drag us down with them. Hope no one wants to retire soon, because your 401k is about to get absolutely destroyed.

You know if this is really all about Ukrainian appliance envy by the average Russian we could have probably come up with some other solution that didn’t require Russia invading Ukraine for appliance loot. Just saying.

@volgr @Rasputin_Vol @DonjoVol hey stooges could you use your troll factory ties to send a back channel diplomatic inquiry on washing machines for Ukrainian sovereignty? TIA!
The biggest shock to Russians who invaded Ukraine, besides getting their asses kicked, has been the Ukrainian level of quality of life. Having things like a washer, a microwave, and a dishwasher are like mythical Tolkienesque fairytales in Russia for the vast majority of people.

So it appears that the Ukrainians are still engaging in these suicidal offensives where the losing lives and equipment.

"In one of the areas controlled by the Akhmat special forces, the enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to break through the defense line. However, the response of our fighters was not long in coming. As a result - a destroyed tank, infantry fighting vehicles, as well as a certain number of personnel.

This is just one of many areas where the enemy repeatedly makes unsuccessful attempts to break through, while suffering huge losses in both equipment and manpower. Special Forces "Akhmat" confidently keeps the situation under control. However, we did not expect less from our fighters."

Russia is losing.

The sooner you accept this, the sooner the healing process can begin for you.

I agree that we should be looking for a diplomatic solution but that would have to include Russia withdrawing from all of Ukraine including Crimea. Bar Ukraine from NATO membership if we have to but Russia cannot gain territory from any peace agreement.

Only if it meant no immediate Ukrainian membership in NATO. Any sovereign country has a right to determine its future. Perhaps Ukraine's big blunder was giving up it's nukes and believing it could peacefully exist next to a nuclear bully. That's why NATO works; without NATO, Russia could just pare away countries a little at a time and become the Soviet Union all over again.

SA has the cash to buy weapons on the open market.

SA is forcing us and others to buy OPEC marked up oil. Seems like the least we can do is return the favor and tell them "you want our stuff, you pay the premium price for it". Same goes with training. I met one of the Saudi royal family in the Atlanta airport one day when he recognized my brother and got our attention. He'd been here learning to fly F-15s when he flew with my brother a few years earlier.

Nobody's forcing us to buy OPEC oil. Everything we do with the Saudis, we do voluntarily.

Some things matter to American Christians: oil, Ukraine's president. Some things don't matter to American Christians: Matthew 25: 31-46 and the children in Yemen being killed by American Christians in the same manner, starvation and disease, that Anne Frank was killed by German Christians.

OK, I'll rephrase it a bit. Crude oil is an international commodity; our domestically produced crude is priced according to commodity pricing. OPEC plays games with quantity and pricing which drives world crude pricing, so directly or indirectly - however you want to play your game - we pay a premium for gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, etc because the OPEC members (especially the Saudis) do drive the price.
